Difference between Liverpool and us is they can shoot.
No meltdown from me. We are not good enough for top 4. 7th will be our position unless we don't score and to be honest we can't buy one at the moment.

The difference though is that I'll be looking back on this season of ours with pride.
Liverpool replicating their start to 2014 here in early 2015. Win after win after win. It almost propelled them to the title last season, and I suspect it will propel them into the CL this season. Possibly with an FA Cup to go with it.

No one can deny that Liverpool deserved it (spit), but wish City could have got an undeserved goal. You'd think they didn't care about Saints, wouldn't you?

Top 4 was really a bit unrealistic anyway, even 3 weeks ago. And the Europa League needs scrapping. Might as well get the meltdown done now really.
Ronald was quite honest...he said he was surprised where we were with our squad. He'd hardly have said we wouldn't make CL whilst we were still up there, but he has said recently that getting in the Europa would be an achievement for us this season. No good getting snobby about a competition which at least shows our progress.

Still would be an excellent season though.
Well given the difference in format between then and now (ie there's a group stage now), I'd strongly expect us to better than last time, should we qualify. All we would have to do is get through the qualifiers (and if we put our strongest side out, whoever that may be come July, then we surely will - it's not as if you run into Barcelona in the Europa League qualifiers), and then bam, six games for us.
Not over, but less likely. only 5 points behind if Arsenal beat Everton. We have good fixtures coming up which we, on paper, should win.
