Three very winnable games coming up in a row now for Spurs. We'll have done very well to still be ahead of them after those matches. But even if we do slip below them between now and then, as I think we will, I think there's every chance that we'll still be sitting in 5th. (Arsenal go to the Etihad during their next three games, whilst Liverpool and West Ham play each other).

Spurs always seem to **** up the "winnable" games though.

After a midweek game yes. But generally only after a midweek game.

I've just had a scan down their results so far this season. Out of all their matches where they've failed to win, only two of them - Man City away (4-1 defeat) and Sunderland away (2-2) - were not on the back of playing two - four days earlier.

For me, it partly goes back to my earlier point about their squad being too big. Having so many options makes it very easy to constantly freshen the team up after only playing a few days earlier. But doing that so often means that it's hard to build up fluency and understanding etc.

I'm not bothered about Spurs at all. They have won a few good matches but their form won't last, and Kane's goals will dry up at some point. We've had our bad patch and have had in the last two games arguably our best two performances in the Premier League, given that we had weakened teams in both matches.
