This manager merry go round is making be so appreciative to support a club as well run as saints. I swear other clubs have absolutely no idea who to appoint. Why allow managers to go without first having an idea of who you want to replace him?!

Can quite understand why Pardew would go to Crystal Palace. Newcastle undoubtedly a bigger club but he has been treated very badly by the fans. A lot of the problems were not of his making with players sold with no replacements and dodgy directors of football. With Ashley investing in Rangers it's unlikely to get any better with him trying to finance 2 clubs. Don't think he'll get much investment at Crystal Palace but he might have more say in everything else.

And yet some people moaned that Adkin's replacement was lined up already.

Well there is a slight difference on a few counts. 1] Adkins was a fan favourite and perceived to be doing fine by Saints fans. 2] Many/most Saints fans had absolutely no idea of the ambition the club had and has, so Saints/Adkins doing OK was deemed not good enough by the club. That surprised the fans but we recovered our composure well and quickly. 3] Yes, Adkins replacement was being lined up. Not romantic and sentimental, but highly professional perhaps.

I wonder who the club have lined up following Koeman..?

It's not nice to say such things without warning me beforehand. Koeman is one of the most likeable Saints managers in years.

And sterling didn't ???.......clearly strikes his hand across the Swansea players face......how the **** did he get away with that???

It'll be very interesting to see if WBA appoint Pulis. WBA favour the so called 'continental' set up of having a head coach rather than a manager, with his job being confined to the training ground and matchday. I believe they have both a 'technical director' and a 'sporting director'. By all accounts however, Pulis is an old school manager who wants to run the ship from top to bottom - which includes signing new players.

If all of this is true, then for WBA to appoint Pulis - who I am certain would keep them in the PL - they would have to completely change their philosophy and how the club is set up. And for what? One guy.

Sterling hasn't been charged?!? Absolute joke.

It's not the lack of an FA charge that's a joke. Very little the FA could do. Whilst retrospective action can be taken against an incident missed by the officials, my understanding is that only in extreme circumstances can retrospective action be taken against an incident seen by officials but incorrectly unpunished.

The joke is the linesman. He clearly, clearly sees Sterling lash out. It happened right in front of him! For some utterly bizarre reason he did not flag though - ie he incorrectly let it go unpunished.

I couldn't understand so many 'football people' (media, ex players) discussing after the game about how they would both get retrospective bans, when the linesman clearly saw the Sterling incident.

It's all bollocks. Ref's performance should be subject to oversight from above, just like everyone else's work performance is.
