I think you'll find that most of us are doing it because it's just a fun thing to do. It's not something to be taken seriously.

I'm not getting upset by it or anything. I'm just finding it quite tiresome. Some of it you can tell is supposed to be 'just a bit of fun', but a lot of it comes across as spiteful and petulant. Whatever floats your boat I guess. But I'm looking forward to people getting over it, whether it's 'fun' or otherwise.

That's the kind of mature, considered response which has no place on an Internet forum. <laugh>

<laugh> What was I thinking! Maybe I should shut the window. This fresh air thing obviously isn't good for me.

Really couldn't care less. I mean, I want to finish above Liverpool because it would be funny due to the reasons of ambition broadcast by our ex-players. But I really don't care enough about them that I hold any sort of grudge. I support Southampton and it's current players. Anyone else takes up very little of my concerns. I hope people get over the Lallana/Twatbeard thing etc. because there gets to a point where it just seems bitter and pathetic. They've moved on and so have we, hopefully to better things.

You could always lighten up and let some of us have a giggle about it. Some may enjoy it. If you don't, you can always ignore it. Each to their own.

Regards

I must admit I'm quite surprised by my own enthusiasm to keep going with the name calling. I'm allowing myself to wallow in a bit of immaturity. :)

Seriously, why did Ramirez go to Hull? He's performing almost exactly the same role for them - come on for the last 20 minutes of every game - as he would for us, and we're even a bit thin on the bench for creative players at the moment.

Yep, the thought occurred to me the other day too. I believe he wanted more game time. I suppose he's getting a wee bit more, but he's not starting any games.

Hi Bitter & Pathetic, less smiles please.

Well indeed, and I'm not asking you to stop, just hoping that it will...eventually. Just as you (the wider Twatbeard h8in community, not you specifically) like to have a laugh or genuinely show hatred towards Lallana et al., I'm just saying, I personally couldn't care less about him and don't hold any grudge, even enough to have a laugh about it. I don't like laughter. Or fun.

I will continue to disdain and ignore it though, as I have done ever since it started months ago.

Please turn out the light.

Adam, Edinburgh: On this evidence, hard to see how Lovren can be worth £20m. Has made more basic errors in possession today than a top class centre back should in a season.

Just watching Ballotelli. Joey Barton was observing last night that he was a strange signing for Liverpool because he doesn't fight back when dispossessed and he's very static generally, which is most unlike Liverpool players. And he's absolutely right. Just watching - he just stands there when he gets the ball taken away from him, plus the game actually passes him by occasionally because he's standing absolutely still watching.

Annoyingly, Pool won 2-1

Shame Pool won. But we're still 3 points ahead of them. Swansea could have potentially knocked us off our perch by battering Newcastle, but could only manage a draw. Cisse looks Newcastles only hope. Biggest shock of the day so far is Burnely scoring 2..yes 2 goals! Also to be noted, QPR have dropped to the bottom of the league by virtue of goal difference

L'pool have played another game. ManC could possibly send us to 3rd overnight. Yep, Burnley score. I feel quite sorry for them with their two main goalscorers out. In a rather predictable day for football, to me the result of the day was Newcastle drawing at Swansea. Got to keep Cisse fit because he'll save them.

Hey, watch that grinning. It doesn't become you. :)

I imagine they will, but hopefully it's a temporary arrangement and we can jump right up past them again tomorrow. Oh yes, right you are

Watched the first half of villa v city and I can't believe how bad the atmosphere was and how many misplaced passes there were from both teams.

Watching Villa v Man City and hoping Saints can maintain 2nd position a little longer, therefore looking for Villa to avoid defeat. But can't help noticing how wasteful they have been so far with their limited possession.
