That was one hell of a strike.

When was the last time we scored from outside the box out of interest?

Apparently Stoke are playing Newcastle according to Quinn.

Did Bertrand against Palace away? Or was that inside the box?

We don't score very many from outside the box though.

Ah, it was Mane against Arsenal, when he scored from a very acute angle.

Still only 1 point between 5, 6 and 7. Our goal dif is much superior which gives me hope. Burnley were ok I thought.

Has anyone noticed that for the last few years Sunderland do crap all year, bring in a new manager, then beat Newcastle and just about scape their way to safety. 3 years in a row now.

That's a huge win for Advocaat and Sunderland.

And I'm sure they'll do the same again this year - before quite probably yet another new manager comes in.

They've got three more very winnable home games, and given that Stoke and Everton have nothing to play for, away trips there could well bring them success too. On the other hand, Leicester are in massive trouble, Hull have a very difficult run-in, and I really would not want to be in the shoes of the loser of Villa-QPR on Tuesday (if there is one) given what they both then have to come.

It's a shame that they'll probably stay up really. Sides like them and Villa really deserve to go down in my book; neither are exactly an underdog punching above their weight, and neither seem capable of moving away from being a relegation fighter. Get rid of them, let fresh blood have a go (ala Burnley this season).

Feel for Leicester...get a good win, get some hope, then the team in 4th move away again.

Should have kept Pardew....though he seems to be doing better now he is happier at Palace. Though he said recently that he was also happy at Newcastle...must be a masochist.
