Great news for us and West Ham. Not just the lack of Giroud, but also a restriction in Arsenal's rotation options for these two games.

Spurs are ridiculously lucky. Blatant penalty on Vardy also.

Spuds have beaten 6 teams 2-1 when they have played poorly. This is either a sign of a good team, or as I am hoping, a sign they are **** and going to get found out soon.

    Here's hoping!

Should never have been appointed, IMO.

The curse of playing Saints on Boxing Day ... Mackay had the same fate last year.

Be interesting to know how many managers have had the bullet, in the last 25 years or so, after losing to "little" Southampton. Not saying he didn't deserve it but its humorous that sometimes defeat to us seems to be the trigger.

I look forward to seeing who we'll play on Boxing Day next season. Spurs or Liverpool would be nice.

Colin being sacked by palace is no surprise really, and was a desperate gamble to hire him in the first place. He's suited to championship footie
and was never going to tear up trees this time around. He can retire back to his Talksport job and nice life in Devon. I don't think there's a Pulis waiting in the wings this time so think Palace are doomed this season

I wouldn't write off palace just yet. There's some poor teams in the fight this year, & they have a few decent players. If they beat Qpr they will jump out the bottom 3 & overtake a couple of other struggling clubs......who'll then go on and sack their gaffer.......no doubt. Its a dog fight down there.

Sunday Papers claim Roberto Martinez is on borrowed time, with Everton having a preferred candidate to take over. Steve McClaren.

Doesn't actually surprise me. I've been taking notice of his post-match interviews lately, culminating in the Saints one, and if he's got an accurate eye on what's happening to his team, then I'm no judge. After Saints, he said there wasn't a lot between the teams. Actually, there was a gulf in quality, and either he couldn't see it or wouldn't see it. Personally, I think he's lost the plot. His players are under performing and his tactics aren't helping a jot. He also seems static when it comes to making a change during a match. Best gone. Hope he doesn't though.

Please let this be true. My flatmate is an Everton season ticket holder and has been banging on for the last 18 months about what a hero Martinez is and how he is destined for the very top etc. Despite me pointing out numerous times that Paul Jewell did a better job than him at Wigan and him being massively over rated. He also pretty much always uses McClaren as the bench mark for ****test manager ever so this would be glorious.
