There was a time when most of us thought that Fontes improved form came from the influence of Lovren, I am not convinced any more.
Lovren needs a leader next to him like Fonte was. He hasn't got that at Liverpool.

He's an awful defender. Called it long ago into the season.
He's only ever had one good performance and that was a friendly against an injury ridden Dortmund.

Lovren was a good CB for us...though better in the first half of the season...so can't just be down to him if he is poor this season. Unless we just make people look good.

Still wondering how that happened.....have to put it down to early doors. We've beaten far better teams than them.
Actually, those scousers blaming all their defensive lapses on Lovren just proves that a lot of their fans know ****all about football. Not that I feel any desire to defend him, but it's not his fault he's got a geriatric in front of him and a liability beside him.
