Well, the experienced ones are not getting it all right at the mo, so lets give him a chance. (then get on his back)

 

Not sure what that means? He's hardly an amateur ref he would have done plenty of Championship games.

Michael Oliver was a Championship ref once. So was Clattenburg.

 

Everyone has to start somewhere....otherwise the current EPL refs would have to carry on until they died of old age.

 

They already have free glasses prescriptions...

 

So Steven Caulker... that worked out well for us then. Havent seen it posted elsewhere but court appearance and 1000 pound fine for vile abuse of a doorman. Character seems to be a big part of our signing philosophy. Seems we took a bit of a punt on that one and it hasnt woked out.

The video that's looped is the 6th goal against Villa last season. It often gets overlooked because it was the solitary goal in the tail end og the 2nd half, but it was an absolute cracker. The supply and finish was absolutely top class.

As a bit of academic trivia, I'm trying to work out who the player is at the lower part of the screen who turns to the disappearing Mane, points to him and runs in his direction. Looks like Djuricic. Anyone is welcome to confirm or deny that.

 

Along with Rickie. Wish he was.

 

Talk going the rounds that we are willing to accept 20 million for Mane....not even bothering to copy it as they are just quoting each other. I presume it's a deposit....firstly, we are not selling anyone half way through a season and secondly, we are not a club you can take to the cleaners cheaply.

P.s I wish Koeman had kept his gob shut....he's woken the media vultures.

 

I said at the time that it wasn't the wisest thing he's done since coming here. He really under-estimates the GB football media if he thinks they'll not pick up even the smallest bone to gnaw at. And it won't blow over either.

 

It would be nice if you could speak truthfully about football....i.e. Mane (or any other player) won't be here forever, enjoy them while you can, but sadly there are slathering wolves out there. Now none of this will affect what Saints do, but it does wind up us natives.

 

Yes, definitely Djuricic. He set the cross from Mané up with a nice interchange which drew a couple of defenders out of the way.

 

Don't think Saints would entertain anything less than £30m

 

It actually doesn't wind me up personally. What perturbs me a bit is seeing you lot getting all unhinged and the fireworks that get exchanged. It's all so unnecessary. 99% of all this stuff is BS. All people need to do is remember it when the time comes.

For a supporters group that has seen its club nearly kick the bucket, we do seem to get our knickers rather twisted over some relatively light stuff.

 

Any idea what Premier League games he has officiated?
Seem to remember, in previous seasons, that Saints (or was it just the fans?) complained that we were being used too often as a club where refs "made their mistakes", whilst cutting their teeth at the top level.

I guess the lack of support we get from the media, makes us a safe bet, for new refs, as they wouldn't get the same level of negative press, if screwing up, in comparison to costing Utd, Chelsea, Citeh etc a point or three.
