Bamford has ended decided to end his loan spell at Palace, due to lack of football. I'm not really sure that he's an option for us though, because although he'd probably get more football with us than with Palace, it presumably still wouldn't be enough to satisfy him.

Villa, Norwich, Swansea, and possibly Bournemouth and Sunderland, might be able to offer him enough game time.

Think Palace fans have been saying he hasn't been very good, which is why he doesn't get game time

    That's interesting.

Who thinks Bamford is better than Seager?

That ball coming out from a clearance as it did with Martina is seriously hard to hit like that without controlling it first.
What Shaquiri did is a great bit of inspiration, but the skill itself isn't as hard. Sure, a player will miss it a number of times out of ten, and not hit it as sweetly, but a half volley lob like that just involves taking the pace off the ball with the touch, and the keeper was way off his line, so had a big patch to aim for. As a regular player at purely amateur level and comfortable on the ball I honestly reckon I could do that a certain amount of times out of 100 attempts (obviously not under that pressure, but in terms of replicating the hit from a 50 yard pass and with a keeper only standing in my way - ie. no defender or time pressure). Under the same circumstances and with a keeper in goal - and let's wipe his memory after every attempt so he has no idea where I'll be aiming - and the ball coming to me bouncing from a clearance, I definitely couldn't hit that spot Martina did with unlimited attempts, let alone if that keeper was Petr Cech!

Some people reckon that if a goal could not be replicated again by the player themselves, then it's a fluke and not that good. I disagree, as most goals of the season sit in that category. Cisse's against Cech from a few season's ago is probably my favourite goal of the Premier League era, and I doubt he could ever do that again.

For goodness sake, Lemmy, Pavel, John Bradbury (from The Specials) - can we just get this all out the way before 2016 please! So bloody awful.
