I'm going to say Phil Taylor after his upset in the World Championship. Outside bet would be Bunting to go all the way.
Dare I say it, Phil Taylor is in decline. He's not a player I'd want to be betting on at short odds to win the premier league. I think looking at the prices, new world champion Anderson is the player to bet on at 5/1. Now Anderson has conquered his demons, he's a player punters should be siding with. He's won a world title, I don't think nerves will affect him as much as they have done in the past.
I'll not be betting on Phil Taylor, I just feel 2015 is his real swansong and he'll feel he has something to prove . In terms of betting I might do Bunting to reach the final , need to see the odds first.
all taylor needs is to be 4th here so question 1 is who will get to the top 4 over the period. i won't bet against taylor there. when it comes to may and who's actually going to be in form who knows but mvg wil want to win this too and i predict mvg v taylor in the final
I have a feeling that Lewis could have a good year, he'll be disappointed with his efforts last year having only won one major tournament at the UK Open so will be looking to win some more this year. I'm a big fan of Lewis, when he gets going with the big scores and into his rhythm there's no better player to watch imo. The 9 darter in the World Championship shows his class but not had enough moments like that recently. Think he's been written off a little bit recently but he's still a class act when he gets it together. A best 9/1 can be had on him for the Premier League, I'll be backing him for that and most other majors this year, especially at such good odds for a twice world champion!
How many times has Taylor lost a couple of games and people say he's finished. NEVER write off the POWER. Although i would like to see Anderson win the premier league a second time.
Still don't think Taylors finished, still got a few tournament wins in him yet but well done to the "Flying Scotsman".
I don't think Taylor's finished either, I just don't think he's anywhere near as good as he was, and is not worth betting on at short odds anymore. It's suprising Anderson isn't now world number 1 after tonight's win, as he holds the 2 most important trophies in darts
