The Football League have already announced 6 opening weekend fixtures - 2 in each league. A good idea with 125 years of history. check this out for more information www.fl125.co.uk/anniversary-fixtures Burnley v. Bolton Wanderers Derby County v. Blackburn Rovers Preston NE v. Wolverhampton Wanderers Sheffield Utd v. Notts County Newport County v. Accrington Stanley Rocjdale v. Hartlepool Utd.
So much then for the PL leaks yesterday as NOT ONE fixture was correct. Sadly Nick Thiompson also failed to deliver a home game on the opening weekend as he wanted due to the road works starting on monday 19th august for 2 weeks on spring bank. Thankfully its only Norwich City at home during that road closure. Now the fixtures are out we wait for both SKY and BT to pick apart and change many dates. What angers me most at the moment is two away games in London on a tuesday night @ Atsenal and Crsytal Palace. FFS, surely they could have been weekend games and 2 others closer to Hull being away.? I also note that Southampton are due to come yo Hull on a tuesday night in february which is also crazy. Then again that may get switched gto saturday 15th february IF both clubs are out of the FAC. That weekend is FAC 5th round time.
I am sure that if both Hull and Southampton get knocked out of the fac before the fifth round then the Saints game on 11th february will get changed to a better day like a saturday...fac 5th rd saturday. Fingers crossed eh if both are out.
The BBC Barclays Premier League Predictor is up and running for those who want a go. www.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/predictor//default.stm I've done August and have us mid-table with 1 win and 2 defeats.
Mine for August has us 12th with 3pts. Chelsea and Arsenal both on 9 pts, Aston Villa the only team with nul points. Man Utd to stutter with only 4pts and 10th in the table.
Seeing as this thread is bumping, can we change the thread title. It suggests we are talking ****ing egg chasing.
We were due to play Manchester City on a Sunday at 3 pm and I bought tickets for the match and train from London and they put it on TV with a 4 pm kick off and made it very hit and miss to get the last train back to London.
Sky announce their live games on 8 July - per a poster on here - does anybody know when BT announce their live games?
With our game against Chelsea more than likely be on TV, I'm hoping it will be a lunchtime kick-off so it will be easier for me to get there by train.
Worst case scenario for our game @ Chelsea is that sky make it there First Monday Night Live Game of the season. Give Jose the full stage so to speak. BT to announce first. So keep an eye on the Barclays PL official website is best for all Live games.
Get ready for a raft of changes to the original fixture list once the Live tv games are announced on monday 8/july. It is almost certain that Hull City's game @ Tottenham will be changed from saturday 26th oct to sunday 27th as Spurs have a group europa league match on the thursday night(24th).
Brilliant, I usually get Sundays off work but not a cat in hell's chance of a Saturday. Now to try and persuade someone to come to London with me
No surprise at all if true. Thank heavens it is not a monday night game. Ferriby @ home on the saturday it is then. ? If true, Great result the date and ko time.
