The Premier League fixtures for 2023/2024 to be released on Thursday 15/06/2023, 09:00 I am eagerly awaiting this, home or away does not matter to me. I am excited!.
we just want to see a side who's out to do the business and are about whatever their game is. I think thats fair to say. day 1 last season was not unexpected having watched preseason. they were under cooked going in and half arsed but they gave a bit of fight to scrap for the point away to Fulham we need I think to look fit and really go from the off like there's a point to prove and business to be done.
For me a fully fit Diaz and Nunez making some sort of progression (anything half as progressive as his 2nd season at Benfica compared to the first) are key. Both provide the threat of pace going forwsrd. I'm expecting some teething problems in midfield with all the likely changes but hopefully it'll at least be more dynamic.
depends what we consider success. last season we scored gluts of goals but didn't concede too many compared to the dross in 3rd and 4th. we needed more goals imo, and more consistently to get 4th. thsts not success imo. to get back to winning we need to be more solid at the back and add goals
Ideally: First three or four games are fairly easy to build up momentum, confidence (especially with new teammates) and a habit of winning. After the run of easy games, best to get a mix of hard clubs fairly early once you've got a habit of winning down. You want to play most of the hard clubs earlyish before cups get serious and so they won't be part of your end of season run.

Christmas next which is basically awful. the frist 5 games features two very tough away games
Look the second half of December: We play, Man U, Arsenal and Newcastle at home. Will be an interesting couple of weeks!
Liverpool actually requested to start the season away from home because of the work going on at Anfield.
Not a bad start or end to season just the tricky Christmas period - but at least they're mostly at home.
Premier League dates for Liverpool vs Everton in 2023/24 Date Time Fixture 21/10/2023 15:00 Liverpool vs Everton 16/03/2024 15:00 Everton vs Liverpool Visiting Anfield is rarely fun for Everton. The Toffees have been the lesser of the two sides for a very long time and it has routinely been laid bare at Anfield in recent seasons.
Is this official? The real schedule? Or is this one of those leaks that happen every year that are wrong? It seems a bit early for the official calendar isn't it?
I don't hate starting with tough games. It does mean we have to be 100% ready for the season though. Always gives great confidence when starting out rough if you do well. It all depends on how ready we are for a new season. The other thing is, those first few games other teams won't know what to expect from our new team. (Assuming we see major changes)
