    Actually I quite like it.

An interrupted pre season so "easier" start on paper welcome.

The big games close together after 4 months to bed in the new players better.

Also a loud ringing bell to transfer committee (like they didn't already know) that squad depth of quality will be vital.

If we get a good start to the season then the glass half full view is we could have done serious damage by end of calender year.

Also, as lazy good for nothing armchair fan (cough) ...Christmas viewing is going to be awesome lol

I have a new lady friend who doesn't like or understand football. I might have to dump her by then.

    Also,

"The Champions League group stage will commence on 18-19 September, and last season's beaten finalists Liverpool face an away Premier League fixture before all of their six group games. That includes trips to Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham." <grr>

It's games after playing in Europe that teams usually fall down on, how do those games look.

However, Liverpool will be at home after EVERY Champions League game - although the final two are Everton and Manchester United.

Decent start to ease our way into the season. Hopefully our players will not pick up any injuries at the World Cup. Not really bothered when we play the other top 6 teams, everyone has to play everyone else twice anyway.

Basically we have a DECENT start a DECENT Christmas and and EASY run in.

    my main concern would be

    block 2

    Tottenham Hotspur (A)
    Southampton (H)
    Chelsea (A)
    Manchester City (H)

3 top 4 rivals (and city <laugh>) in the block so thats a hump to get over.
