I’m more worried about how a man who got Cardiff relegated, and was only successful at FC Molde, could fail spectacularly at your club.

I just couldn’t predict that it would end badly :(

We were discussing new additions that make a difference, Lindelof has been with us a while now.

Agree on Poch tbf, said he'd be the best fit for you guys so long as he was given time. You need to stop trying to copy the Chelsea blueprint.

You compared it to "last season's best defence" which didn't include Adrian <doh>

Yeah, but that was Alisson trying to do what a keeper should never attempt, whereas DdG was just meant to stop a shot at his near post.
Which is sort of, you know, basic stuff.

True mate, but de Gea has been with us many years and was not part of the new signings that were supposed to make a difference (which Jimmy commented on) <ok> :emoticon-0100-smile

I see MU's young James was booked again for diving yesterday, his second yellow in two games for simulation

He’s clearly got a lot to develop. Give him a year and he’ll be conning refs like a true old Trafford cheat. Not sure if he has a brother but he’d better stay close to his misses from here on in....

I think yesterday's might have been a bit harsh, tbh - though I haven't seen the previous one.
Sadly, although it's not a new thing, I think conning the ref has become an increasingly accepted part of the game amongst young players.
It's one of the things that VAR could address, but I think that system still has a long way to go before it works to an acceptable level.

He was lucky to be in the game after more than enough dives against Wolves to be red carded and suspended

    Nah clear dive
He had gone up and was on the way back down when the contact happened
He literally landed on the players leg
Nothing no one else doesn’t do, so in that way could be classed unlucky but clear dive imho, he just went to soon, the old anticipating the contact but went way too soon.

Disagree. He was kicked and it was a foul. He didn't help himself by being theatrical though

You can throw yourself to the ground simulating a foul and then actually get kicked in the process

Just skimming the archives and came across this beauty from January 2018

    https://royalbluemersey.sbnation.co...ool-tottenham-arsenal-spending-transfers-news

"Tottenham simply does not spend at a level that can sustain their current rate of success. What we see right now from Spurs is probably the best iteration of them possible unless their spending habits change. On current trajectory, they will be out of the conversation for top four places in the relatively near future."

"Now, to Everton, the inclination is to look at Everton’s figure and think that we are getting terrible value for our transfer money, but I disagree. Everton had to catch up to these other big clubs over the last four years, both in first team quality and in squad depth infrastructure, and I would say in many ways we have."

"Bottom line here is that Everton Football Club is moving in the right direction, we should absolutely and without question consider ourselves among the big spenders in the Premier League, and as a new stadium opens, and revenues increase, so will our spending."

"It’s always a good time to be a Toffee, but what I’m seeing off these numbers suggests to me that the next five years will be even better."

You've got wonder quite what a city player has to do to get a yellow card.
