Have City been banned for signing Academy players? No Chavs got done harder cause it was loads of players they were found guilty of. Also ours was for 1 player, City have admitted to at least 2 players.
Never said that, reading into things with your blue tint. In fact you brought Liverpool into this, not me. I think is unfair and if rules are going to be adhered to just 'admitting' to breaking them shouldn't be a let off. Break them and face the same punishment everyone else gets. Or everyone might as well break them, admit you broke them and get a tiny fine for it. City should have been banned from signing academy players at the very least.
Unfair is not a conspiracy. I think City have been let off by fifa, who knows why. Conspiracy would imply I think City have paid off fifa or fifa are scared of upsetting the UAE owners. I don't think either of these, I think fifa are inconsistent and pretty inept at running the game. And that the idea of 'admission' is a fault in the system. Found guilty whether you admit or not should be the same punishment. Its breaking the same rules.
They haven’t been let off, they’ve been fined. Their case surrounded 2 players, Chelsea’s involved 29. It’s exactly the same though, and defo a UAE inspired conspiracy
But if we use your Liverpool example, 1 player who the club broke the rules with and it was a fine and ban on youth players. City have broke the rule with 2 players and only face a fine. No ban. Seems pretty inconsistent to me and all down to the idea that admitting it is somehow altruistic. Chelsea's was a systematic rule break and therefore deserved a bigger punishment. However City broke a similar rule to both of these clubs who had some form of ban and therefore should have also been served a ban as well (even if it was only at academy level) Also this is City's 2nd offence at pretty much the same thing
