Yeah, you'd have to wonder City paid 50mil for 2 full backs. Utd paid 30 mil for shaw before that so its only what they've done to themselves. I'm personally wondering if we can't get 20-25 mil of that off palace for mingolet and clyne.
I may be quoted in the future by the bookmark specialists... but I think he goes down too fast when defending and looks good in a side built to defend deep. Most of his tackles lead to throw ins thus no opportunity to transition into a counter. If he can vary his play more, he has all the tools to be a top RB but now there will be more scrutiny as he is at 6iggish club.
£50m sounds a lot for a young player with one season experience. They're paying for potential and the test now is does the manager have the experience to bring out that potential. He's no Klopp.
yes he needs to develop but that goes for all young players including TAA for example but to go overboard about one bad game is over the top.
