Anyone else notice John Henry has an Adidas Liverpool jacket in the photo with Linda Pizzuti. Either his jacket is from the old Adidas kit days or he’s let the cat out the bag with who’s gonna be our new kit supplier. interesting, didn't notice at time lol, any one think anything in this?
That's because neither cup is worth **** but one is a single game, the other is several games. As I said before; people want to be part of the Super Cup but generally don't care too much about the outcome. Despite also being ****e nowadays, the FA Cup means more than both combined.
Well we still have NB for this next season, so even if we sign with Adidas I doubt there will be any products until near the end of the season. It will likely be them or Nike though, sadly dont think NB can compete
With respect, that seems an odd way of looking at things to me. By the same token it's easier to win by just avoiding a slip-up in one game. Many "lesser" teams would fancy their chances against a top team in a one-off game, and rightly so. The fact is that an extended competition gives an overall view of your ability to consistently come out on top. I get the argument that to be in the SP you have to win one of the major trophies, but that criterion also applies to the Charity Shield (usually) - is anyone seriously suggesting we should count them in our major trophy haul? The European finals should be seen as the culmination of the season, the idea that there is still somewhere to go after that just devalues them, imo. Super Cup is an exhibition match, that's all.
pervy old men i only posted what was tweeted on a site, i had no idea myself and didn't see linda personally (attractive but not my cup of tea) give me natalie portman any day.
Do you mean when they were on the bus? Just had a look at the photos I took - black jacket, red logo?
Liverpool set to be top seed for 2019-20 Champions League Liverpool will head into the group stages of the 2019-20 Champions League as a top seed after winning the competition on Saturday. The victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Madrid final means the Reds will be in pot one when the groups are drawn for next season's tournament in Monaco on August 29. Joining Jürgen Klopp's side in the first pot are the champions from the six top-ranked nations and Europa League winners Chelsea. Liverpool to play Chelsea in the 2019 UEFA Super Cup Liverpool - who were placed in pot three in 2018-19 - already achieved automatic qualification for Europe's premier club competition with their second-place finish in the Premier League this term. Therefore, the spot reserved for the holders of the European Cup has since been allocated to Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg. Twenty-six teams have qualified automatically for next season's Champions League, subject to final confirmation by UEFA. Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Valencia, Juventus, Napoli, Atalanta, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen, Paris Saint-Germain, Lille, Lyon, Zenit St Petersburg, Lokomotiv Moscow, Benfica, Shakhtar Donetsk, KRC Genk, Galatasaray and Red Bull Salzburg. Pot one: Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona, Manchester City, Juventus, Bayern, PSG, Zenit. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/352984-liverpool-top-seed-champions-league
well this is bloody simple. The super cup gets you what? let me reveal all: Super cup 1. 3.5million euro dollars to the winner. 2. a tin pot 3. nothing else The league cup: 1. prizemoney: shag all. 100k 2. Gate money: conservatively the semif final and final clear a club 3-5million. 3. a tin pot. 4. most importantly qualification to europa league so.... If you are a CL club sure ok who gives a stuff after that (bad attitude) but theres WAY more moeny in playing league cup than there is playing the super cup.
oh and the FA cup: Third Round Proper winners (32) £135,500 Fourth Round Proper winners (16) £180,000 Fifth Round Proper winners (8) £360,000 Quarter-Final winners (4) £720,000 Semi-Final winners (2) £1,800,000; Semi-Final losers (2) £900,000 Final runners-up (1) £1,800,000 Final winners (1) £3,600,000 thats quite a bit of prize money there.... you get a tin pot (a big one though) You get a europa league spot.
We won more money than City, so winning the CL is literally worth more than all the other competitions put together
Ah i see all about the money and not the trophy I give up, dif argument every day lol. Next it will be, we didnt win a trophy but made a lot of money competing
I prefer the League Cup to the FA Cup because neither wins you any money worth thinking about but at least the League Cup isn't a Wembley mortgage repayment scheme
welllllll... competing strongly in league and CL combeind = most money. 2nd in league and more tv appearances = most TV money from prem Winning CL usually = most tv money there The CL prize money is massive As of 2018–19, the fixed amount of prize money paid to the clubs is as follows:[65] Preliminary qualifying round: €230,000 First qualifying round: €280,000 Second qualifying round: €380,000 Third qualifying round: €480,000 (Only for clubs eliminated from the champions path, since clubs eliminated from the league path qualify directly for the UEFA Europa League group stage and therefore benefit from its distribution system.) Base fee for group stage: €15,250,000 Group match victory: €2,700,000 Group match draw: €900,000 Round of 16: €9,500,000 Quarter-finals: €10,500,000 Semi-finals: €12,000,000 Losing finalist: €15,000,000 Winning the Final: €19,000,000 This means that at best, a club can earn €82,450,000 (wiki) compare this to europa league: Base fee for group stage: €2,920,000 Group match victory: €570,000 Group match draw: €190,000 Group winners: €1,000,000 Group runners-up: €500,000 Round of 32: €500,000 Round of 16: €1,100,000 Quarter-finals: €1,500,000 Semi-finals: €2,400,000 Losing finalist: €4,500,000 Winners: €8,500,000 In effect its about 21million. If you are not in the CL you've no option. We all start off In league, League cup, FA cup. The league just by being in it gives you a shed load of money. each position is worth about 1.9mil. So playing 1 game and pocketing 2.5mil even if you lose (super cup) is dead handy Playing league cup for the gates and the europa spot.... kinda pointless unless you need europa. its an ego comp. Playing FA cup? you could pocket 8 or 9 mil there. worth it? probably if you are not going to end up 3 or 4 positions lower in league Europe is worth most of all after league thats just money, prestige is another matter entirely.
I've proved on every single level possible no matter what people say that the super cup is a tin pot. that was my intent every post and i've shown on every level its a nothing game. apology accepted.
Super Cup is the Champions' Cup. Super Cup finalists since 2010: Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Porto, Internazionale FA Cup finalists since 2010: Man City, Watford, Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Hull City, Wigan Athletic, Stoke City Liverpool, Chelsea, and Man Utd are in both lists so have been left out
