Will be amazed if anyone else in the UK bar me is watching this one, but Granada vs Cadiz in the Spanish Second Division has been very average so far
See sky have been doing a live text of the Liverpool arsenal title decider in 89 and the united Bayern game in 99 for some reason.. been a slow news day clearly
are we all ready for the state backed newcastle to take over the prem? Rumours are that they will be city life as the new guy will be cousin of mansour. handy way to get round multi club ownership
Keep it in the family. Utd should be looking over their shoulders. Give Rafa money and he’ll be challenging 6th place in year one.
Its a clear slap in the face to uefa.. oh you take us on with city? no problem we'll but a 2nd prem club as well. I'm all for newkie getting shut of ashley and i think the way his retail business has gone with debenhams etc he's been playing a dangerous game and could easily go bust. But..... for them to brcome city mark ii, city lite, city reserves or whatever for the qatar state... no good. Anyway... I 'd be really worried for spurs. We all know what happened to Liverpool in 2010. However city were rich and coming then. someone had to fal out of top 4 and it was us. We've spend YEARS rebuilding, fairly and above board and so have spurs. YEAR of hard work.. along some an arab state who then buy a second prem club (illegal) and they spend a shed load of money ignoring our flouting FFP in the process and bang... someone leses the CL place. City Newcastle then theres cheslea's billions. then... well theres one place left with utd's billions to be spent (on **** it seems) and us.... and arsenal. Spurs literally have just spend 1billion on a stadium and have a small squad who've massively delivered this season (still big ears final to come) imagine them ending up out of CL. And for me its them or us. This final could be a last hurrah for one or both clubs if the prem allow this to continue.
Sheik Mansour is from UAE, not Qatar. Mansour isn’t the wealthiest Arab, not by far. But you’re right; There’ll come a time when every club will have to be owned by a multi billionaire just to compete.
Would it not be easy enough for eufa and fifa to bring in a rule of no state owned clubs allowed? as surely be conflict of interest. Suppose its no dif to paying for a ****ing tv licence owned by a company that is based in salford and sucks utd cock constantly
PSG are state owned. City are not. You would need to stop any family ownerships across multiple clubs or stop any transactions between families to stop wrongdoing.
Newkie lad is his cousin but thanks though for clarifying... Mansour is the brother of etc etc so thats where the state sponsorship comes in. It is for me.... ok liverpool have done x, y and z and done it fairly and are in a good place but if you look at the others and especially spurs... its not a nice picture of theres now 7 into 4 overnight. Any slip at all in form and you'll be ****ed. If its true. especially if they've suddenly all summer and rafa on 11mil a year contract and unlimited funds as ffp won't affect them for a couple years. Mbappe to newkie anyone
Why not lol. Cant remember who it was but when city first had money they just brought a name not someone who fit. Fabinho rings a bell but not sure.
City are where they are as a state proxy. The learnings from PSG model. they tried to won multiple clubs and were told no so they went and bought new york city to avoid uefa.... they actively seek to bend and get round every rule. The fact is at this point theres so much "revenue" from tv and such that they can side most of the stuff and cover the rest under the table hence the questions at guardiola. If for some strange reason your top paying club's wages are actually 3rd or something... yet nobody ever leaves the club to go to spain etc... strangely and you can afford 50mil per player bough no issue... well... simple logic would start asking the question about who's getting top ups.
They got taken over very very late in window and just stole the cheslea players before he'd signed medical. rumour was player didn't even know plane was diverted, hadn't a word of english and thought he was at cheslea even when they were taking pics of him in city kit anyway just reinforces the concept of it being collusion as its being doen so early to give them full beans to spend 500mil.
FFP has been around for how long? If I recall, it was around the time PSG where acquired but a few years after City were bought but well before their first title. So basically, both clubs have found ways around the rules for several years without real repercussion. During this period, FIFA have awarded the World Cup to Qatar of all places; a World Cup that cannot possibly be played in the traditional summer window. Basically, the game is dripping with bribery and corruption and the governing bodies are at the heart of it all. It ain’t gunna stop. Some clubs might get a slapped wrist if they are stupid enough to get caught.....otherwise, it’s full your boots. For this reason, Leicester’s league win gave everyone hope - it’s not just about money, surely? It’s also why the forthcoming final, between 2 properly run clubs is refreshing - the CL after al is the prize the Arabs want most.....and should we (or Spurs etc) win the premier league, it would be a massive two fingers up to them.
in 5 years time we may look back and say this is the last final between non state owned clubs... ok maybe a bit of a push but I can see no matter how well you are run you cannot compete. and I can see the small.club mentality coming out and fans of those clubs saying you lot have always bullied us out of comps so who cares.
