All valid points, but Pool are part of the problem. My point was you still tonnes of money and many here were suggesting you don’t. Net spend is still somewhat irrelevant when you upgrade players and pay **** loads in wages, then it keeps going higher. The replacements for your sales come in on higher wages than those on net spends (I’m talking generically). The money in to net off is long gone.
Liverpool are a financially sound club with almost no debt. The problem is clubs like; Man City - break FFP regulations, fraudulent sponsorship deals, distortion of the market, stadium funded by public money Man Utd - the second most expensive squad in Europe bought with almost £500m debt West Ham - stadium funded by public money
Thursday is credit day, if you want to keep up with stereotypes. Mind you, you probably do still use giros in the countryside in between harvests and the poaching season.
Its not the money spent though. Everyone Loves to mock the net spend argument but the point is that we lost cout and Suarez which were two first team players. And use that money to buy 3/4 first teamers. However city have spent similar money but not lost any first team players. That’s the point, city have spent money assembling the most expensive bench going, we’ve spent money to get the first team top class. Origi sturridge and Shaqiri v sane Jesus and mahrez.
