I agree on all counts. That was the first driver for Moshiri, then some council funding, now its development. The stadium is still front and centre, just takes time. I don’t care who has to front up the money, if it’s the fans and club paying like Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool then so be it. Would rather have a nice stadium in prime position. Where we aspire to be, it’s in and around the top six, just as Leicester and West Ham would be aiming for...maybe even Wolves. However the club was in such a mess that the step will take time. Brands said so in the summer and Moshiri did again at the AGM, it’s not something throwing money at can change overnight. Even city had a plan in place that finally produces stability and trophies. United did the groundwork when Everton, Liverpool et al pushed for the premier league. They realised the commercial value of the club and now even when they are ****, piss over all but the two Spanish clubs in that department.
