Oh well. Chelsea can probably kiss the title goodbye. As unbearable has astro will be i prefer klopp over pep who gets ****ed over when hes just a buy it merchant and i don't think i could stand the spuds winning so good luck (although hopefully no invincibles for you). Klopps got you boys really solid this year Oh and i get to throw the you bought the league tag at you boys too
What's happened to Chelsea. There was a period where you played us twice and you looked great each game against us and other teams. Now you have dropped off a cliff.
Chelsea were and are way too reliant on hazard. No CF so he has to play there as their only goal threat and it negates his strengths of picking ball up wide and deep and running at players. Poor at the back where before they had 3 CBS which allowed Luiz a bit more room for mistakes with Kante mopping up out wide when wing backs pushed on, now they have Jorginho who isn’t defensive and Alonso is being asked to actually defend.
Strikers that don't score goals Too much expected of Hazard Oppositions have realised Jorginho is slow as **** and easy to close down Kante playing out of position Pedro, Willian, Barkley inconsistent Kovacic overrated And David Luiz.... Basically if Hazard doesn't play well then they haven't got much else.
To be fair If you replicate the points we have 74 isnt horrendous but not great (you finished 75 last season). First year transition season isnt it.
Well after the City game I thought we could be in with a chance of winning the league, but it was short lived. Having watched the Utd game and listened to the commentators and pundits it is clear Utd have the league in the bag. Reading the media reports of the Utd game afterwards only confirmed this to me. What can I say lads, we had our moment in the sun, and briefly some of us, however naively, thought we had a chance of winning the league. Then Utd go and beat the club who are bottom of the league, with Pogba playing, and our bubble has been burst. Clearly every club above Utd are now going to lose a large amount of games in terror of the resurgent Utd, thus allowing Utd to win the league. Who would have thought it only a couple of hours ago. Well I am off to drown my sorrows and think what might have been.
I can't believe you wrote something this silly. Get a grip man. They've already won the treble, just need to pick up the three pots
What happened to Chelsea when Roman took over bears no comparison with LFC since the yanks took charge. Anyone who can't see such an obvious difference doesn't deserve to have it explained to them
Love how they all point to us using all of the Couthino money and say that we're buying the title. Laughable.
Obviously its a difference and you didnt have a rich owner pumping it all in and you saved yourself a nice little pot of gold over a few windows. Still though you spent 270m or whatever it was in 2 windows? Thats buying a title mate
surely MOTD should have shown the Liverpool game first then the City game with the narrative of "can they keep up with the team in front" kind of thing. but no...
Well, as our net spends are pretty similar over the last three years*, if by some chance we do win the league and as you say 'buy the title', would that mean that you've bought 5th place?
Everyone has to spend money to succeed, and only a few are big enough to pay the required amounts. Of course the money we've spent is the envy of the vast majority of clubs - but there's a huge difference between spending a sugar-daddy's millions to getting there through sound business practice and building success on the pitch. You had all the Russian gangster's dosh at a time when only Utd could hope to compete financially, and you could buy and stockpile players on a whim. Liverpool have done it through the correct footballing channels when at least 3 other PL clubs could match them and compete for those same players if they chose to. I know you and City fans would love to think they're there on merit - after all nobody wants to acknowledge otherwise - but really it was no more than having the (perhaps dubious) good fortune to be chosen as a rich-man's plaything. To equate the 2 situations is arrant nonsense.
Bobby, everyone buys the title Be it in paying the staff more than others Stock piling youth Incentives Transfers, whatever That has never bothered me never will People bang on about Pogba fee but he will have been worth it to Utd and somewhere there is a belting player in there It’s all relative People banged on about 75 for VVD If he helps deliver a title or pot who cares Until a team comes up from conference Roy of the Rovers style and wins league everyone buys it Even Leicester did - they spent well over everyone else to get out the championship However there are different ways of buying it Some prefer to see the build rather than the fantasy football/trad card buying approach Think if the football decent and to your liking who cares
