What a ****ing ****e final. I actually wanted Utd to win so Flange got the sack, but going on what Utd served up Amorim ought to be wondering if he’s going to be there next season.
Such a poor game. Well done spurs. Just cling on against a side who cant score Bilbao were utterly devastated they let that lot score 3 at their patch and missed this final.
Can't even win the Arse-End-Of -The PL trophy. That was dire - and Spurs will be in the CL next season. Jeez.
Spurs wanted it more and were willing to lash about and work for it. Utd picked a terrible team with a terrible forward. Thry then engaged in just scrappy rubbish and not really pushing until laster in the second half when spurs dropped right off. Just a bunch of hoof ball then Man utd players waiting ages to get a loser medal. But spurs were absolutely there for the taking. They were done and dusted after 70mins.
Fact is CL is more wasted on Spurs than ManU, which is a good thing. I mean which players are Spurs going to attract that they wouldn't already just because they have CL? None really, they are still Spurs and don't offer silly wages to overcome the club factor. They just have a bit more money to spend on mediocre players. ManU needed CL for any kind of future progression, they could have used their name and CL to move forward.
Judging by thr empy seats on one side the mancs have completely cleared out. Says it all really. If lfc were there tonight a good crew would be there still for the team. Not all of course given who gets the tickets these days but it looks like zero utd fans bar family have stayed. It looks like no locals were in the ground either. Kind of sad that the put these games on and nobody get in.
United surely must be screwed with their sponsorship now with being out of Europe next year? Isn't their some conditions tied to their club sponsors if out of champions league? Worrying for United and amorim (worst record of United managers after same amount of games played to this point)
Not for the first time during a Man utd final, I literally fell asleep during the game I always felt that the outcome was more vital for Utd than Spurs. They would've benefitted more from a victory (beyond actually winning the trophy) and they will suffer more than Spurs would've from losing today
