True. However I can't see spurs doing anything other than collapse if anything goes against them away. Utd are at home and will probably come under pressure from the home fans if they don't do the job. Bilbao should be favourites I suppose.
The interesting fight is the fight for 13th place trophy. Everton, Manu, Spurs, Wolves, Wham The pack just above the relegated three. Who will be shamed as last place amongst the non relegated and who will rise to the lofty heights of "almost mid table"... No one will want to finish last in that mini group but it's going to be close. They're all basically safe enough now.
Battle for top 5 looks good though. If it was top 4 would be even more interesting but looks like 4 from 6 with 2 missing out. Arsenal 63 forest 57 Newcastle 56 plus a game in hand city 55 Chelsea 54 villa 54 Feel arsenal just about have enough even with Cl distraction. Forest 2 defeats on the bounce. Spurs next is must win followed by huge game away to city. Newcastle form team. 4 wins on the bounce, game in hand. No distractions city form picking up with kdb injury free on a last tour. Play both Villa and Forest in next 3 games, have the experience. Chelsea looking shaky, defensive just not there. Focus on Europa conference? villa - hitting form. 4 wins in a row. Final prediction LFC Arsenal Newcastle City Forest villa chelsea
Reality is that the Europa is so watered down now that those 8 CL teams don’t drop down in to it, id expect a prem team to win the thing most years from now on tbh
If Chelsea doesn't make Champions League again it will be interesting to see what crazy creative accounting practices they will use next to stay above FFP practices. How many tricks do they have left in their book?
Sell the stadium. I don't think they have done that yet and they will sell it on the basis of a new one to be built
Think few clubs already got done for doing dodgy deals in selling their stadiums so not sure would get away with it.
I don't know the rules on stadiums... But if you don't have to include stadium expenditures in FFP it would be quite an interesting swindle if you can sell a stadium and it helps you out in FFP.
We've now mathematically secured third place; only Arsenal and Newcastle can still overtake us. Everton, Man U and Spurs still aren't quite mathematically safe.
Villa have really good strength in depth particularly in attacking areas . puts our squad "depth" in perspetive
Jeez, some people really need to get a life. Imagine getting this worked up (and then down) by the idea of some guys clapping some other guys as they walk on a pitch.
