If result remains the same; we must beat Manchester United tomorrow to take full advantage of Chelsea and Arsenal dropping points.

Decent result for us that. Brighton always a tough game. Must get our job done tomorrow and open up a gap and put pressure on Arsenal to win the NLD. Should be walk in park for them with spurs form though

Arsenal fans were giving it billy bollocks about cutting the gap to 3pts before we play.

Typical of Arsenal fading away in the second half of the season. Arsenal still coming to Anfield.

Are they ok on MOTD? All 3 saying never a penalty for the Brighton pen as saliba wins the ball?

Must be watching something else here as Pedro knocks it with his head then saliba came in and head butted him. It’s as stonewall a pen as you’ll ever see. I’m confused how there is any controversy in it.

People saying it’s never been seen before…doesn’t mean it wrong.

They're saying Saliba 'headed' it because the ball touches his head before he headbutts the Brighton player.

Okay, let's make this about feet - the attacker touches the ball forward, it glances off the defender, but he then follows through and takes down the attacker with the sole of his studs on the attacker's ankle. Seriously - that wouldn't be given as a pen? :emoticon-0138-think

    Yep
But it’s an anti Arsenal agenda apparently

    bloody crazy this country atm

nailed on as you can get - commentator earlier said something along the lines of - it wasn’t a pen because it was an accident

    Honestly
I don’t get what they are saying
They are saying Saliba clearly heads the ball and showing a still which looks like an 80s spot the ball comp
The footage when running looks like exactly what you have detailed above
The ball doesn’t deviate - it’s rotations do not alter
I just don’t get what ALL THREE pundits are saying
    It’s bonkers

    An agenda.

    That's all.

They've decided their line is thst arsenal are getting drafted and have gone with that.

As I said sanchez absolutely went through jota (i think it was) grazed the ball that was put through his legs and hammered into the player. Thst was deemed fine as jota hadn't control of the ball etc.

They make up crap on BBC to have a go at var mostly.

Funny thing is that there was a broadly similar challenge by Estupinan on Rice earlier in the game and the foul was given Arsenal's way even though the Brighton man got the ball.
So at least Taylor was being consistent - something that we and pundits repeatedly ask for.

    Great weekend so far result-wise.
Did you see Ange's post-match interview.

He is under some severe stress, got to be worried about his mental health.
