I think he is grossly over estimating his own brand if he thinks he can boss them around like a superstar manager. He's not wrong mind but he's not exactly carlo anchelotti or pep guardiola here.
I think if Spurs had qualified for the CL, or if they were well out of it, then putting Arsenal's nose out of joint is a silver lining for losing a game and you'd expect their fans to make the most of it - but no fan should actually want their team to lose, and putting city rivalry before personal success with so much at stake is pathetic. Perhaps they were just being ironic.

It won’t go through. I don’t think the clubs hate var - let’s be honest it does correct mistakes, especially offsides. it’s the fans that hate it more because of the slowing down of the game and waiting around. But owners want it because they’re scared of missing out on titles or CL football or being relegated because of a huge cock up where guys 5 yards offside and lino missed it.
