    Yes we do.

The wages are actually quite high as well.

The fact is we are not rolling in profit here's so do people want points deductions?

It's a shame Man City didn't go for 'Arry - it's the only thing that would've stopped them winning the league.

The horse has bolted on city.

Nothing short of expulsion and relegation to league 2 will address their cheating

Why? The premier leavue have approved all their sponsorship faking so they have locked in revenues as big as real madrids if not bigger.

This ensures they can dominate as long as the oil state is willing to invest those deals.

At this point being European champions and such means the sponsorships where there is a real company start to make sense. The problem is some are name plates only.

Saudi are doing the same with newcastle. Just watch as their revenue jump 100.kil each year minimum and they will be happily enabled by the prem to do so.

We are already past the point of complete uncompetitiveness but in future it is highly likely we will have thst top 2 locked in winning everything.

The small club fans will say what's the difference if they win things or it was utd and Chelsea etc.

The small club mentality is who cares what big club wins things but they all secretly dream of being that oil club.

See Everton fans waffling about oil money and the Russian secret backer for moshiri.

They all want to be that club picked up and driven to the top, yet are seemingly not annoyed by being picked clean of they ever have a player or manager.

The whole thing is too big and no one knows how to deal with it. What they've been doing is not just immoral, it's illegal. Are we going to humiliate the UAE? No, because this goes way beyond football.

Exactly. I said long ago that I expect political pressure on the investigatory panel to come to an "acceptable" verdict.

The real problem is fifa. They are utterly corrupt and actively selling the sport to Saudi right now.

It's got worse since blatter was ousted not better.

Only fifa can impose a global salary cap.

Only fifa can impose a changed transfer system.

England can't do it on its own. Uefa won't do it on its own (are also corrupt)

Therefore rampant cheating is in the end only following the example of the authorised themselves.

Within 5 years fifa will be all but owned by Saudi the same as golf, boxing, wwe, snooke rand any and all other sports thry choose to target.

I think you're spot on here. The sport is being taken away from us at an alarming rate now. That and Klopp leaving is having the effect of pushing me away from the game. Unlike others, I can't seem to muster any enthusiasm. It will probably change once the season starts but .... I want my game back.

    Unfortunately I think that's a forlorn hope.
I've been feeling progressively dismayed about the way the game is going for many years now. The quality of football and the entertainment value occasionally masks the murkier aspects, but it's been going downhill in so many ways since it dawned on people how open it is to commercial exploitation.

You're right. I don't want to start down the conspiracy path again, (I"ve got a conspiracy theory about what happened last time that came up) but the unfairness of things, if I can put it that way, is putting me off as well.

When Shankly said "Football is a simple game..." he was right but we can no longer enjoy the simple game for all the trappings and controlling measures being put in place to maximise profits instead of pleasure.

I obviously hate all the oil money in the sport, but Ive always been against FFP because I said since.day one that it would devolve into who could hide the money the most. FFP encourages teams to cheat, it rewards them. If you follow the rules you get left behind.

That said,.since.the rules ARE in place and ARE supposed to be followed, I do think the only appropriate punishment for City is maximum damage possible to prevent others copying the model. Kick them to league two, strip all their titles. Don't allow promotion back to PL until as many years have passed since when they started cheating.

I want to use a big stick on City.

But yeah, I think FFP should be officially abolished if it can't be enforced.

I think personally the premier leavue model is not even sustainable.

It is set up to have a sugar daddy approach. Most fans don't see to get this.

Running at a rolling -104mil loss over each 3 year period is utterly unsustainable for any business in the real world.

In effect it says you can lose 35million each and every year for ever, no problem.

    But it is a problem.

The clubs are going to scrap it as even thst is too restrictive for them and some fans scream for this to be the case so hopefully their club might get a sugar daddy too.

Yet nobody looks to Fulham where the ticket prices are nothing short of ****ing shameful.

You can have a sugar daddy and fancy players making lots of money but in the end you'll pay through thr post for it.

Yes, but you can't abolish laws because some people break them. Something needed to be done, but the acid test is whether or not they will have the balls to carry out an effective punishment. I don't think they will.
If there is a better system that can be transparent and effective then I'd be all for it, but I think that football is a microcosm of society in general - you can't prevent those with the financial clout from getting what they want.

Thry have already messed it up.

Both independent panels so far have been a joke.

Everton got 10 points which scored everyone stiff but then thry appela and 4 points get knocked off just for the panel not following process properly.

Forest get 6 reduced to 4 with no real reasoning and they have appealed and I bet they get off too.

Everton breach a second year in a row and they fudged it. It should be another 6 points but no from nowhere it's 2. Therfore the 6 is no longer the deterent.

Forest will say hang on you give us 4 but Everton 2 for doing the same and we cooperated.

The next breaching club will shrug and then say it can't be 6 you gave Forest and Everton 2. We were less so give us 1 or 0 and a fine.

Before w know it this will all be forgotten and nobody will have had a consequence and we will be talking small fines.

The reality is Everton have called in the bankruptcy accountants as its that bad

The reality is Forest went mad buying random players stupidly and could well have issues in future.

Totally agree. Just wanted to say that the red would actually be a better rule than the blue. Still ridiculous but at least it removes the conveyor belt
