Apart from Rashford’s wonder goal all Utd have done is defend. Irrrspective of what team we put out next week, we have an organised defence with pace, not like the zimmer frames of Utd.
After going 2-1 down, they still sat back and let Man City pass it about at the back letting the clock tick down
Not long after Rashford’s goal, he was put through but miscontrolled. Did he or Utd have another sniff?
I sincerely doubt anyone really thought utd had any hope v city. you can't expect two results like the cheslea one.
Rashford should have created more but looked ****ed. That’s what happens when you go out on the lash between games
better to park that and celebrate the unexpected. that chelsea draw was massively unexpected and great news.
I wanted a DM, so glad we didn't go for Amrabat. tbh I don't think he was ever on our radar, alot of paper and agent talk but no real interest from the Club. Did say at the time he looked good for Morocco cause the way the team setup. Quick wingbacks and a counter attacking midfield, meant he didn't have to do any running other than side to side in front of the CB's and with a packed mid in front of him. Overall he's too slow for the PL, wants too many touches.
Man U's tactics were thrown out of by scoring too early. It was like Southgate in the Euro final. If they'd have kept playing like they did up till they scored they could have grabbed a second. They got the balance of defending and attacking all wrong and thought they'd hold onto a 1-0 for 80something minutes. Dropping back like they did just invited City and allowed City to do what they do best, pass and build the pressure. Without ManU attacking/competing with City it was just a matter of time before City scored and went on to win. If ETH is going to serve up that style of football at Man U, should that be acceptable for a Man U team and their manager.
