yeah, we didn't play particularly well in any of them but give 19/20 team a lead they were never losing it. we got that lead v Brighton but couldn't hold it. luton was quite poor but the utd game was abject as we were not actually under a press or getting closed down we were playing it too quick or kicking it out over the end line. it was just really really poor show. given we opened 2/3rds of a tier and had fans in etc it was just completely flat. we've scrapped through several with wins that were not great performances through so really it's about what we do from here to get more sharpness and fluidity.
the ref was poor enough tbh. the lino made a few errors too. how neither saw kulu with a massive handful of shirt I don't know. lo celso push was a push but ferguson made a complete meal of it so had the ref not given it I suspect var would not over turn. the offsides were miles off. what did he want? managers are whingers really. I suspect only Simon Hooper would suit ange.
Second pen was a clear pen. Wasn’t a push, he slid in from behind and trapped the guys foot under his leg/knee. Only thing he’s moaning about is the red card for dunk. Think was 50/50 as dunk looks like catches him high but the main point of contact is just in the ankle rather than higher up
Whilst its fun to claim this kind of backhander by Citeh's owners, I'm guessing most of us have previously only seen it as a bit of a laugh. This season makes me question that joke. The pure fact that the UAE can even contact the refs in this country is bad, just by taking the money from the UAE (when they own a club in the PL) is creating a huge conflict of interest. There is a definite stink about the whole PGMOL and I wont be surprised when the corruption story eventually breaks.
It’s obscene. Even if there is no bribery happening, the fact that there is a potential payout for additional work offered by people connected to City’s owners could easily lead to a bias towards them, should make people take notice. This when City’s tactics around the insane number of charges against them is to tie everything up in court. If they are found guilty, I hope that they are stripped of everything, demoted and severely punished financially. Cheats should never prosper.
all it takes is to look at clattenburg flaunting his middle east bling as a pundit in refereeing on amazon to see what's what.
Think the old firm Derby only being played in front of Celtic fans seems extremely unfair ? Didn’t like it when Utd did it all those years ago Am I only one who sees it as a massive advantage to Celtic ?
