Every other English club has been quick to refuse the superleague Today but no surprise that Mr crocodile tears is still hanging in there

Last the 1st time so it's no surprise.

Not sure why clubs have to issue a statement having already done so. I notice Arsenal haven't yet either.

Think just some clubs trying to get some good PR. No surprise it’s United - fans hating the club owners. City - currently under review and dodgy ground with uefa. Chelsea - similar situation.

fsg best get ready for a protest Saturday then.

not being unequivocal today is tantamount to support of the new proposals.

the gold standard is bayern making a very firm and clear statement.

*** are on thin ice at the best of times so if fans feel they are just playing dumb while talking in the background there will be unrest.

Reichart has made out some clubs are quite interested without naming them.

I'm willing to predict the arsenal and lfc will come under intense pressure to state their position very soon.

chelsea, spurs, City and utd could make a statement.

lfc published that Bobby Clark signed a contract and fixture changes for February.

Not sure why you feel like that about it. The fans aren't bothered about another statement. Not been a peep on any fan forums all day.

No it’s not. Saying nothing is fine. There’s nothing to say.

Also of course Bayern don’t wanna be involved. They make all the money and win every title in Germany. Why would they bother risking all that

they'd still do that anyway. what they are saying is thst they are no interested at all. if they said they were in Germany couldn't afford to lose them. the end.

thier stances is the gold standard response for fans

I'd say, if anything, over the two years there has been a growing section of our fans who, seeing the absolute corruption of UEFA and FIFA, are more in favour of an ESL type league to get right away from their influence. Were the idea not so exclusionary, it would have a lot more support. JH sought legal advice and walked away from the league saying he would not be going back. Why do you want more statements?

Tried making this point in toon board. Not pro this new thing, but somehow Uefa being made out to be some sort of football saving hero in all this.

They’ve had corruption at the top

theyve tried to shift blame for their own poor management of big events like the CL final between us and Madrid in frwnce

their current chairman is looking to change rules so he can continue to be in charge past the max terms currently allowed

they continually host CL finals and give fans of both clubs 25% ticket allocation with rest going to corporate

they have changed the Cl format to a horrible format just to get more games involved to generate more money

I’m sure there’s prob more. But they aren’t the saviours of football. They somehow hold a monopoly over all European football and can do what they want with little repercussions.

Qatar getting the WC was dodgy as anything. Awarding it to Qatar meant that football was turned on its head as it had to be played in November because the heat in the summer made it impossible to play. Total disregard for domestic leagues and player welfare with games piling up. Not to mention the moral issues. Cash for contracts, tv rights rigging .... the list goes on.

The club may yet feel pressured into issuing a statement, who knows but I'm not reading anything into the lack of one either.

Snake? Not fair. He is primarily interested in making money, true, but he seems to have an understanding that upsetting the fan base is not the way to do that. If he thinks he can make more money in the super league, he'll go, but he does keep an eye on the fans and wants to placate us. If he thinks we'll rise up he won't.

My guess is he's waiting to test the water, see what develops before making a move/stance. I bet he's hoping the breakaway goes ahead and that fans decide it's better to go with it than remain behind and gives him an excuse to jump ship. As long as we as a vast majority are opposed he won't move.

I think the PL having already said that there will be a 30 point automatic deduction for any club that signs up to another league won't have gone unnoticed.

Meanwhile, since JH made his statement another 375 people have been executed in Saudi Arabia. Football club owners eh ...

I honestly can’t see how the prem can stop a club playing in a European comp. In actual fact I can’t see why the prem would give two ****s about it? Doesn’t impact them.

I think if Liverpool and Chelsea don't release a statement tonight they should relegate them.
