don't worry about it lads. we are finishing top 4 anyway. city won't win the cl but neither will bayern. we will win the europa villa will win the conference.
Goldbridge is ok, but I can't help wondering if he'd have been quite as concerned for the welfare of English clubs in the past when Utd were permanent fixtures in the top places and we were struggling.
Despite him actually being a Man Utd fan, if you listening to what he says (especially recently) he sounds like he prefers Liverpool
difficult to say for sure though obviously for the coefficient the doing well would have been better but we still have 7 teams in European comps and that is the maximum number of teams whose coefficient points count towards the countries annual figure so if all 7 go gar or even 6 should still get a high figure .
I think those that aren't completely blinded by tribal prejudices understand that Klopp is a rarity in football - in that he cares about the game and empathises with players and managers of other teams.
Manchester United and Newcastle United displaced Liverpool and Chelsea in the top four last season, they both finished bottom of their respective groups. They're not good enough for Champions league football.
I don't makes the competition less fierce because there's only a small number of leagues capable of producing winners, so if you only get one from each it's barely more exciting than the club world cup. Besides, would be so rare for any one team to get to play unless they're in a one club league.
It was a gift for Newcastle and Manchester United to finish in the top four last season. They both finished bottom of their respective groups.
they were handed a free ride by a very poor prem but both got 70+ points Spurs were abject. We were largely abject but gave them a little run for thier money later. Chelsea were abject. Right now Chelsea are still abject, utd are now woeful and Newcastle are out of players. Spurs ran out of players as well. Villa's good run is killing everyone's buzz. Right now LFC can either compete for top spot or get into a death match with the **** like spurs and newcastle and utd. We have the big period now that will define our league campaign. Utd Arsenal Burnely Newcastle 10/12... that'd be huge! 3 big home games.
I found this. I don't know what the numbers mean or how they are worked out but these are the current national standings. 1. Germany 13.36 2. Italy 13.14 3. England 12.13 4. Spain 12.06 5. France 10.42 6. Belgium 10.20 7. Czechia 9.25 8. Turkey 9.00 9. Denmark 8.50 10. Netherlands 8.20 Before last night's games we were in second place. It didn't help that Newcastle's position was taken by an Italian team. It all depends on how you view the PL providing 5 teams to the competition. As saint said, we shouldn't be in it if we (any team) can't make top 4 in the league,
I missed that from earlier in the year that they changed their preferred name. Like Türkiye Cumhuriyeti, made it something that is less comfortable to say for English speakers... but hey, it's their country I guess. I like Bohemia better personally, has a nice comfortable sound to it, I vote they go back to being Bohemia.
I agree. It sounds more free spirited and not as serious as Czechia, although that sounds like Cha Cha and I quite like the image that goes with that as well.
