Only going by bbc but chelsea goal given against Burnley, play restarted while var check was still ongoing so ref stopped play and waited for check to be complete before restarting. Awkward after they all told us couldn’t go back to check something once play restarted
As an aside, to do with VAR and video referees, Samoa score a try against England. The video referee checks for a knock on, but awards the try. Samoa miss the conversion. The video referee then rechecks again and disallows the try. How can that be allowed to happen? I watched the Rugby league with Wigan /Hull KR earlier, plenty of the tries went to the video referee , they were either allowed or disallowed, and the decision was final no allowing , then going back to disallowed.
If I was a ref and knew 100% I'd ****ed up, I'd break the rule to take it back. Your going to face **** anyway, may as well face the minor break to correct the major break.
Tell that to Stuart atwell in the chelsea game yesterday. He did exactly that, yet nothing really been mentioned or showed. They briefly mention it on motd but no big deal.
