    Two bits of good news...
    1) Milner should be fit and available
    2) Moreno is out of contract in the summee

I just saw it over here on sky app cos im travelling again.

keeper was utter dross. it wasn't like an awful free kick but it should have been saved 100%. it was nowhere as good as free v utd.

It looked to me he gambled it was going to wall side and was already stepping and ball ended up going through a spot about a step or so form where he started. he never even dived so he clearly never gave himself a view of the ball

We see so many free's scored like this now, keepers trying to second guess the taker

Yes, but its poor keeping. You need a view of the ball and not just guess where it is going.

wilson is hitting ball a certain way. He's not bending it to top corner on wall side (but he can) if he hits it that way it is only going one side.

Having seen u23s action for 3 years he's well able to take a free. far better than taa.

Just saw it on TV, terrible keeping from the free kick. He struck it well but it was basically down the middle.

A taller keeper would have got it.
Or one that actually moves his feet........

Yup, it wasn’t even in the corner on that side either. The keeper took 2 steps and the ball went about a foot in from the corner, about head height. Decent struck free kick but if keeper stands still he catches it. I guess as a free kick taker you could say that you outwitted the keeper or knew he would move across so took a gamble, much like a keeper diving a certain way to save a pen from a forward. Maybe free kick takers are studying what keepers do from free kicks to try out smart them.

Or maybe he just got lucky <whistle>
