it seems some very dodgy dealing ia going on at man utd. Ratcliffe seemed to have the highest bid but the glaziers have then sat on their hands and the Qatari have bid again and now that offer wasn't enough (still) it seems the glaziers are asking the PSG owner/chairdoper to talk to the "bidder" to get the price upped. it seems to me Ratcliffe could well be in a position to sue if his bid numbers are being passed round to ensure the glaziers get the money they want all up front using his fairly submitted offer. it really is an example of greed and zero regulation/standards that we are witnessing here
Man Utd are listed on the New York stock exchange and therefore need to comply with rules laid down for takeovers and has zero to do with PL regulation .
This is something that confuses me. If they are listed, then the glazer must just own stock rather than own the football club? How can they then invite bids to own the football club if they just own stock. I'm showing my naivety here, but I just don't get how they can put the "club" up for sale
Yes, they own the Shares of Man U, 259,950,194 shares according to wikipedia Over time they have ever increased their percentage to something like 98%, which means they not only have the controlling stake (which would be 51%) they virtually outright own Manchester United and can out vote any other share holders on any matters related to ManU They aren't really putting the 'club' up for sale, but rather their stake in Man U. But it's much easy to say they're selling the club.
owners still need to pass tests here? it just goes to show the utter mess that allowing said schisters float a uk company on the us stock market.
Fit and proper owners test. This basically equates to "do they have enough money to buy it". The rest is all flannel.
So has ARM probably our most successful tech company which as normal with a successful UK business is now owned by foreign investors in this case Softbank from Japan .
Definitely helps Inter but massive shame for KDB, never liked to see a player go off injured but even worse in a massive cup final
