Benzema reportedly signing for another
while messi is target for a 3rd

how can it be allowed that you have 4 clubs owned by the same people…

How long before they sign some players on ridiculous wages before they end up loaned at newcastle ?

 

not long but our ideal is that they find it impossible to fake revenue and decide its easier set their own leavue up there than fake this one.

unfortunately the fa etc will just allow any old sponsorships

Just a thought......bearing in mind Hendo will be playing less minutes and vice capt. Milner has gone....who do we expect to be wearing the
armband first game of the season?.............VvD?

 

Had a conversation with a mate the other night about this. I think the time has come for this to be addressed really, your captain can't be a rotational option and that's what Hendo has become now. He's a complete pro who loves the club so wouldn't imagine any fuss there - just give it to VvD

Not a chance henderson won’t be captain. Why bother taking it from him?

vvd was always next in line behind Milner so can see him being official vice captain and it seems like Robbo is behind him

Let’s be honest captain doesn’t do an awful lot on the pitch anyway. What you need are leaders.

Robbo, almost... but i think he is too much of a messer to be handing out the club fines and enforcing dressing room discipline.

Alisson, again almost. but i am not sure keeper is a good plan

not trent, never. I cannot see his attitude to his game really improving just he has an armband.

salah really wants it for status and that rules him out.

This is the issue imo, none of the recent signings strike me as a leadership group candidate. You want a person who is clued into the who squad and is willing to do the unseen stuff in the dressing room.

the players voted themselves for who is in the captains group and at some level they will decide come preseason who are the guys who do the job.

the leaders group was robertson, trent, alisson, henderson, milner and vvd. There was a pecking order of Henderson, milner, vvd, then one of the three.

I really and truly think this is as much about keeping the dressing room in line and driving standards as it is about flipping a coin at kick off.

Who is going to be that drive, we have already missed it as henderson slowly decays

I can't see Henderson being stripped of the armband. Vice captain will be Virgil. Not ideal having goalkeepers as captains but I think Alisson is next in line.

 

Henderson has a contract so i presume he can do the squad betting/fines/hazing duties that milner did.

Someone needs to take the job on the park. its not vvd for me anyway. Maybe its macallister lol

 

Robbo is always prepared to give a bollocking where needed, but he isn't all that well-disciplined himself.
The armband might make him a bit more serious, but I don't know.
I suspect it'll go to Virgil, for now.

Anyways, I'm off for a few weeks. I might look in on my phone occasionally but otherwise see y'all in July.

No way the Armand is taken from Hendo. New Vice-captain? Robbo or VVD are the obvious choices and since VVD got it when Hendo and Milner weren't on the pitch...

AC Milan legend Paulo Maldini sacked as technical director after a 40 year association with the club. Have always admired him as a player, he won 5 European/ Champions League and 26 trophies overall. He was also far too good looking to be a footballer…

Juve have finally pulled out of the ESL, leaving Real and Barca as the only clubs left attached.

I really hope Real and Barca are punished by Uefa for sticking to it for all this time.
