city are dead to rights mate. they have broken the rules on hiding stuff and will be done. Everton have tried to put spend into no lt applicable buckets and are caught doing it.

Chilwell is a crock. cucurella is bang average, rahman LOL. 1 RB and he is a crock. 2 aged CB players who are financial drains and one who didn't even want to be there LOL. 2 keepers not wanted representing 100mil of investment (and no good reason for what they are doing with mendy) they can lose 3 players to contracts and loans without any issue this summer. they've left mount and pulisic wither and run down contracts. 12 months left? this is fire sale territory. Best of luck selling lukakau, aubameyang, kavacic this summer. They will also run down their deals. I read they want sterling and koulibaly gone as well? best of luck with that. I can't even predict what their eventual "first 11" strategy is as they signed replacements to replacements last season. NEW GK James ? ? Hall/chilwell Fernandez ? ? Havertz Mudryk ? they want at least 5 more new players ot replace players they already signed and will probably then replace those players before they even kick a ball in anger for the club the smaller clubs in the prem/ championship will be looking at gallagher, colwill, mount, broja and a few others but very few will want to touch the likes of hudson odoi and loftus cheek due to them not bothering themsevles career wise. I can't see any big clubs wanting the sterling, koulibaly, kovicic, pulisic, aubameyang, lukaku messes. It'll need a fire sale IMO.
Players just keep wanting to go there. Is it location or money or a bit of both? I didn't watch the WC but wasn't Enzo one of the standout players? Chelsea looking unlikely to make any kind of European spot questions his motivation for going there. If he wants to keep his career on track he can't afford to 'waste' a year.
Era of Roman Abramovich Spend ,Spend, Spend is gone, so they have to operate as 'a going concern' now .Tough though !.
Could say same about any top players coming to us in the summer in that case? You’d hope the best players would have a long term plan that 1 year of no Cl football is fine if you’re playing for a club that will actually compete for trophies. Rather than say flood to Brighton or Fulham if they snuck a top 4 spot as sure they might get 1 year now but are they going to consistently challenge.
PL Chief Exec. Richard Masters tells MPs that he can't comment on whether Newcastle's ownership is being re-examined.
I wasn't talking about summer. I was talking about Chelsea signing high profile players when they looked like, they have no chance of any European football ie in January. They signed 8 players including Mudryk and Enzo Fernandez who are hot properties. Summer signings before you know how poorly you are going to progress is a different argument. I agree with your second paragraph.
January still had long way to go in season. They were above us in jan I think and people still say we have a chance of top 4 now despite being constantly inconsistent so no doubt chelsea thought they’d also have a chance of top 4, play they were in the CL so they prob thought more chsnce winning CL with Chelsea than they did with their current clubs
its all money. money for agents. moeny for player. location is irrelevant. career is irrelevant. Look at the list of players who've had potential and let their career stall. in there. Look at the players given the heavy hand and promises to sign back up as kids. They will all be eaten up alive but the agent will make the big killing and move on. Enzo fernandez was alright at the world up. with respect benfica were laughing all the way to the bank. the player has gone from 48k in euros to 157,000 pounds a week. He's signed for 8.5 years and will earn a minimum of 70 million pounds apparently and thats BEFORE he gets any contract renewal as he could easily decide to down tools cos someone else gets double that in a years time. for all we know his contract stipulates pay rises or performance bonuses etc. Benfica bought him for 10million euros and 6 months later sold for 105million pounds. the player is 22. he has absolutely no concept of big club here. hes seen treble the money and took it. If real come calling he will down tools to force a move. the agent has made an absolute killing here and someone shady even owned a portion of the players image rights and probably took an absolute killing on this. money money money.
this is more interesting than anything else. If we can't comment then he knows something is going on. If he knew it was not then surely he merely says "no its not. move on".
it really really doesn't matter. The agent got paid. the player got paid ,the selling club got paid. Chelsea threw money about.
It matters as part of the discussion I was having with Bisc ie that Chelsea, in an unfavourable position, can still attract top talent.
It's all to do with the court case in the US that we were talking about the other day. They can't have it both ways. They either are or they are not part of the Saudi government. Assurances that they weren't must surely be investigated now. You're absolutely right in what you've said here.
