First, let's see all that money that Boris promised us would go to the NHS if we left Europe. Still, I suppose those illegal lockdown parties don't pay for themselves...
if you give a billion of the joke fee being paid in blood money by Qatar for your rusty falling down shed of a ground (neville's words not mine) to the NHS sure why not?
It's not worth it, is it? I thought the NHS was getting over two Bellinghams a week extra after Brexit? Besides which, the amount they save by having us treat our injured players rather than them...
Saint, they weren’t illegal Boris said so He said he checked with all his friends and no one told him that there was anything wrong with them if only someone had told the Prime Minister what he was doing, everything would have been ok I think his friends were confused by his position of him being Prime Minister - y’know - being the one who had regularly read out the rules Clearly all just a big misunderstanding
Another ridiculously handball penalty given. Just hate what is a handball these days. May as well just come out and say handball is now the same as a foul for footwork in hockey. If ball touches your hand it’s a foul no matter what at least then everyone will know
Afraid its not all that simple. Technically there is a way to kick the ball and get away with it. If it is accidental and there is nobody within 5metres of you (thus you aren't gaining an advantage over anyone) then the ball can hit your foot and nothing happen.
Though he can't tell us which ones it was because he's not the type to throw HER under the bus. That is actually what he said. And GB News is calling it a witch-hunt. Oops, wrong thread....
Fair enough. But general in a crowded or generwlly play if someone flicks it at your foot it’s a foul isn’t it? Point is it’s getting to the point where if the ball hits your hand in football it’s pretty much always a foul now so why not just change it and say any accidental is an indirect free kick. Any deliberate if a direct free kick. Be done with this ‘unnatural position, making body bigger’ bollocks. Especislly as if your arm is connected to you then what ever position it’s in is obviously natural. Unless you take it off and throw it at the ball ffs
Yes There is some debate around deliberately putting it on an oppositions foot to 'win' a foul. But generally if it hits your foot, you're going to give away a foul. And we tend not to argue with a foot foul as we know that its a foul with very little grey area and there isn't much to argue with.
I thought that one was fair enough actually. Long ball, no deflection. It's handball. How the **** the ref can give 3 yellows to England players for time wasting when he can just add time and for Rice's one an Italian player is standing a couple of yards away, but won't book an Italy player for multiple fouls whenever England try to brake. I think Italy have made about 3x as many fouls as England.
cos italy are losing at home and he wants to survive the night and get through airport without a cavity search
Rightly deserved yellows for time wasting. The rice one was more dubious. But Walker walked past a ball to go get another one, and shaw can only blame himself having already seen players get booked for time wasting. To then do that stupid tackle less than a minute later, no brains.
Good win albeit against an average Italy team. Second half was awful though but I suppose it’s Southgate career summary. Win the qualifiers any means necessary (corner and pen)
Went to head the ball, ball went over his head and just landed on his arm. Wasn’t looking at it, arm was in a natural position. Was massively different from our one v Bournemouth for example whwre had his arm up and out and blocked a header at goal by lifting his arm up. Just think those ones are stupid.
this result.means they are already qualified basically. that's how bad international football is. we can now settle in for the big build up and hysteria and inevitable disappointment
Not official yet but seems basically confirmed that Nagelsmann will be sacked by Bayern and replaced with Tuchel.
really odd one. Know they fell behind Dortmund in the league but beat psg in the CL. Surely given they’ve won league 10 in a row does it matter if don’t win this year (prob still will) surely you judge him on his CL form which is going well?
Everton v Liverpool in the WSL tonight .....19:30 k.o. at Goodison. Tough game for the reds with 20 or maybe 25,000 watching. We got beat 0-3 at Anfield earlier in the season
