    All of them.

It get said often, but we can learn a lesson from Rugby union, where the ref is definitely 100% in charge. Only the captains really communicate with them and, even then, they do so with respect.

Yes, the refs may still get stuff wrong, but they're human.

I'd also get rid of VAR. There doesn't appear to be less controversy with the system. but there is certainly less joy with regards to celebrating goals, both on and off the pitch.

that's fair enough but you wouldn't be saying it if refs alone just took a look at thr screen to decide.or were asked to by managers on review.

the pedantic iteration we have now is total rubbish.

I don't really care about goal celebrations on pitch. it's for the fans in the stands that the show is for and they deserve better cos it bloody well costs enough to be a better show.

They won't, they've invested so much in it in terms of money and commitment that it's hard to see them willing to admit it's a mistake. They'll just keep trying to tell us how it's a definite improvement on balance.
Imo the problem started well before VAR. In the days before blanket TV coverage only a handful of people were in a position to see whether a player was onside or off. Even then the whole thing was so quick you could never truly be certain, but we'd all still have our opinion - which was always right obviously.
Then TV rocked up and started analysing everything to death in order to give ex-players some beer money. It's easy to see something with multiple replays from several angles that the officials only get one chance at. But still we all have our opinion.
VAR was meant to do away with that, but it never stood a chance. Instead it's sucked the life out of the spontaneous drama that is one of the great things about the game. I find it refreshing watching a game where it's not used and just being able to go along with the flow as it happens.

The fact they expanded VAR to other leagues in Europe suggests it's well and truly established.

    After what we discussed yesterday.
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64584541
This, to me, is totally unacceptable and is 100% down to the disgraceful behaviour of pro footballers.
Everyone involved in the professional game needs to hammer out an agreement and effective policy to change the culture. Make specific rules and enforce them.

it is but its also rank parenting and the nature of fans in general.

I have no idea what abuse a rugby ref gets but it's rarely like this I would guess.

I think parent teach kids every week how to abuse refs from the sideline and the top down abuse example is certainly a part that can be controlled

Parents are also responsible, but often they're no better themselves.
Kids watch football and idolise players - if they see them behaving that way they're bound to think that's what you do. Football has to take responsibility for this.

yeah, those parents were kids themselves and taught to do it.

have to have the energy and will to break the cycle and change it.

    Where do parents come from?

Get it right at the top and it'll filter down to the kids. Those kids become parents and teach THEIR children the right way. It's GOT TO START at the top!

Get the refs mic'd up, implement conduct rules for players, managers, coaches etc and punish (severely - needs to be a deterrent) accordingly if broken

Edit; can see the conversation carried on and kids becoming parents was acknowledged <ok>

When Mummys and Daddies love each other very much...

.. Daddy shoves his big fat cock in Mummy over and over again back and forth....

... And that's how babies are born and people become parents.

    So......

PSG look boned. Strange thing can happent though with a narrow result like 1-0 but its a mountain to climb given its away

Spurs lost to AC (who are ****e) but it was away. I'd still give spures a fair chance of going through but they need to improve now over the next weeks prior to second leg. They have on this occasion a nice benefit of time to improve rather than the week turn around.

Today we might see the end of potter. Its dortmund v chelsea. If that goes as badly as the rest of the games are going then a side like dortmund could rip them up. Equally dortmund at the back (yuk) could **** this as well.

Erm, so that is a pen now?

How many times do you see player get tackled after a shot and it never be a pen.

This one Ederson barely even did anything, much less of a pen than many more clear obvious ones.

Im normally all for pens being given when someone has a shot then gets badly tackled after the ball gone.

Normally they’re never given despite forwards being wiped out.

However this is the softest of soft ones. Keeper comes to narrow angle and make a save, stands still and nketieh just runs into him.

Did Taylor want the keeper to try get out the way of the shot or something?

Taylor the ref for our game on Saturday. Let’s see if an even worse one happens in that game for either team and isn’t given.
