They need relegating to the lowest tier in non league football possible if found guilty.

Ok fair point about the unfair nature of relegation on other teams - including those in the Championship.

    But no points deductions???????

That and stripped of league titles (not reassigned) bare minimum imo.

Fines mean fck all to City. They'll probably include them as an expense for FFP ffs <laugh>

That's never going to happen unfortunately.

    Would be funny though.

You could reset them to zero points but in all honesty they are probably good enough to get out of the bottom three with half a season to go.
Maybe a points reduction (to zero) and stop them using any players who's transfers/fees are under investigation.

Actually the more I think about what happened to Juve and Milan, the more I think they should be relegated.

Serie A is just much better at this. The PL are weak as piss.

The irony is that while all the investigations are taking place, city will win the league again by a few points and be deducted points at the start of next season.

I doubt anything at all will happen this season. Their lawyers will make it drag on and on and just hope the PL will get fed up. It might take years.

    I agree
The whole thing is a mess tbh
It’s unfair on those who didn’t win the league cause they cheated and it’s unfair on those who got relegated
Maybe they should be forced to pay every team effected a loss of revenue fine
As for titles they should have their name removed if found guilty - defo cannot re award - although that is what they do in olympics but it would just feel hollow anyway

I think they should goto Town on them personally

the Pep angle is actually more of an issue for them
As one of the posters said Pep proper went in balls deep
His own personal integrity will be massively hit
If he stays - if they are found guilty

tbh it’s **** that this is happening
Think I have said before I don’t think there should have been those kinds of rules in the first place but those rules were there so they should have been adhered to

    juventus punishment years ago. relegation

this time round? guilty of fraudulent book keeping and only 15 point deduction.

    super league scabs? derisory fine.

I think the time of premier league power is over. clubs are too big to fail fir the show and its likely city get a small points deduction

It's not so much about the rules as it is about what they were prepared to do, to break them. If they're guilty of the charges, the thing it shows is the lengths they went to, to commit fraud and break the rules. They crossed a line and they crossed it over and over again.

Bending the rules is one thing but to be so blatant, almost criminal, in your attempts to subvert the system, I think it goes to the character of those who run the club. They've literally been corrupted by greed.

The PL clubs are all de facto shareholders in the league though, and they are the ones that City have been cheating. Will they let go of that bone so easily?

Funnily enough they were saying the opposite on radio earlier. They were saying there are far too many billionaires (owners of clubs) around the PL table now for City to bully the league into submission like they would've done 10-15 yrs ago. The billionaires are powerful in their own right and will hold City to account.

I think they will get away with it too. Just a slap on the wrist... But can you imagine if Everton got saved from relegation because of City being kicked out due to rule breaking? <laugh>

My laptops broken, so I don't know how to post the opening credits for Branded, a wonderful 60s series starring Chuck Conors. That opening scene when they rip all his buttons off and break his sword. Or the scene from Mary Poppins when they punch a hole in Mr Banks' bowler and break hos brolly...

Take the tites off them, bot I don't want them. But let's have some ceremony for it. And if there is one player I'd love to see ritually humiliated it has to be Beornardo Silva. And Kyle Walker. :emoticon-0116-evilg

When I, and 3 mates, were caned in front of the whole school in assembly Branded was on TV and as I was caned I remember thinking being taken down a peg in front of an audience did not do Chuck Connors any harm. It still bloody hurt though.
