I don't think the girls liked it all that much either - you can hear the producer having to whip them to keep going at the end. It's not my favourite style of music and I don't think I'd heard it since it was out, listening now I'm surprised at the production with the jet effect, for that style at that time.
I see Everton being Everton again. Horrid manager delivers another meek cup exit and as per their so called star kid gets away with a horrid leg breaker style challenge right in front of ref
New financial rules announced - gone a bit under radar this. increase of % of turnover allowed to spend on wages. Out of step with europe which is currently 70% so if you’re playing in Europe you can’t exceed 70, but if you’re out of Europe you can go higher. essentially created to allow lower clubs to spend more money to try break into top 6. More money for EFL teams. New plans around football calendar, specifically around champ league format which starts in 2024. Seems logical that given more money to efl, and talk of calendar changes, gonna be some sort of changes around the league cup. Often seen as a money maker for lower clubs, seems like that’s going to be a compromise.
In realy terms if a club like newcastle have no Europe they can spend 80% of their declared revenues. as long as their revenues stay real at 200mil then fine. If they are allowed spend 80% of 700mil form al al land revenues then its not fine In absolute terms the top 6 will still have massively big revenues to pay wages out of compared to others. HOWEVER...... that being all said, look at the case of swansea who modelled their survival on paying aging players a lot of money to come and keep them up. they paid about 90% of revenue on wages and look at them now. went through really hard times the rules are there to keep clubs sustainable not allow some to play the game of chance with the clubs future to play catch up
League cup last 16 Leicester City Premier League Bournemouth Premier League Burnley Championship Lincoln City League One Charlton Athletic League One MK Dons League One Gillingham League Two Blackburn Championship Nottingham Forest Premier League Newcastle Premier League Southampton Premier League Brighton Premier League Wolves Premier League Liverpool Premier League Man City Premier League Man Utd / Aston Villa Premier League chance are (9/15 = 60% shot) we will get a premier league team Of this there really are only a few tough ties left obviously away any tie is tougher but as it sands its really just city or ud to aovid Hopefully we get get a home tie i the draw tonight tats the most important thing. I'd really hope to see city out of this comp and then its one of those things whre you'd like to see "someone else" win something if we can't win it. (bar the saudi butchers of course, you know who you are) theres a lot of prem clubs on that list that have not even got close to a final and some that lost a few. Its really important that the city thing is broken as much as humanly possible.
Doesn't the European ruling cover the last the years though? Meaning clubs would still be in trouble for it (we know it'll be a slap on the wrist)
It was absolutely hilarious watching Dublin looking over to his right pretending to be looking away but actually looking to.see the numbers on the balls he was stirring round. Total fix of a draw.
It won't really matter. Its a preseason game now. City (a) ~19th December Villa (a) 26th December Leicester (h) 30th December Brentford (a) 2nd January FA cu p3rd round Brighton (a) 14th January there's adequate time for recovery between the city game and the villa game Assume Kelleher trent (never kicked a ball in blood cup) Konate (per trent) VVD Robertson (fully rested) Milner (fully rested) Henderson (per trent) thiago (fully rested) salah (fully rested) Firmino (fully rested) Diaz (recovereD) This is no big deal for me. alisson will be close to world cup final imo, Kelleher will play. fabinho will probably not play much for brazil TBH but again could be in the final bar that we are going to have all these players back and rests and ready to go. I was hoping to have a 2 week training camp in warm weather to iron out a lot of issues as well mind.
I was working on the assumption that we'll take it seriously again. If we don't, then it hardly matters who we play. I thought some of the kids looked good on Wednesday, but they're still not strong enough as a team to take on a PL club. If we just treat the competition as a run out for them then yeah, this will be the end of the road. City can put out a second string that's still stronger than the best of most clubs. Anyway, I was just playing the "let's be positive" card. Some bugger has to on here.
