Yup. Same thing happens in rugby. Same thing happens in cricket. No idea why football (the prem/europe) thinks it’s better to hide the whole thing in secrecy. Tbh I’d rather have that the whole game than commentators talking think it was a wsl game last year they trialed it where they mic’d up the ref for the whole game and could hear the talk through it all. Obviously problem with prem is all the swearing
Because is is Australia where rugby is the dominant sport and the culture is talk not cover up. Our culture is to cover up bad decisions. Never once in that was the ref called a horrendous moron for missing a decapitation. This is really what I keep saying. Force officials to explain live. Let them know the world is listening to their guessing
1-0 chelsea. Shame, a draw would have been best for us. Clear foul for the pen. Wonder how many of those also go unpunished though. Seems to be one that if ref doesn’t see, then var never go back and give them so just lucky if ref is watching
First one he fouled the defender (defender should have been stronger but still, a foul is a foul). Second one Silva kicked out deliberately at Dunk's leg - which was planted out to try and block, but Silva's leg was way out of the line of his body in order to initiate contact.
First one was never a foul, he was just much stronger in a clash. Second was a definite trip after the player was pushed in the back which caused his leg to go wide. Two good goals and both you and I would have been screaming if our teams didn't get them.
I'd be screaming harder if they were allowed to stand against me - such is the partisan nature of football. He pushed the defender in the ribs for the first one, and Silva threw his leg out to make sure there was contact. It's one of the oldest tricks in the book.
Think both 50/50. The first, no one really complained. He did use his arm but defender should have been stronger. Second one, can see why was given. Dunks leg was dangled and silva was clever. Think had dunks leg been in line with his own body, wouldn't have given pen but as he stuck his leg out always run that risk.
Of course they did. Any every single one of them should be out on their ears if villa have any brains. The senior management there should be thinking that players who do that are not worth the hassle.
Spurs gone all spursy against Newcastle. Lorie showing yet again what an average goal keeper he is. 1 world class save once every 5 games doesn’t cover the fact that he can’t use his feet and has a howler in him every other game.
