Kane, Salah, Haaland Ronaldo all taking penalties. Reminds me of the season Suarez tied the goals in a season record without taking a penalty and missing the first 5 games or so biting
Manchester United fans fight in the stands at Old Trafford as the Red Devils are beaten by Brighton | Daily Mail Online Surprised the Prem board hasn't blamed Liverpool fans yet.
So we're official title fight holders still right? City won the league. We faced them in a title fight during the Community Shield and took the title. Fulham failed to beat us, which means we're still title holders right? Crystal Palace are next title fight contenders against us.
Not really no. They've been corrupted by their success. Lost their soul. Athletic Bilbao, another basque club who run things very differently and with a set of admirable principles and I've always liked them.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-62397375 BBC has dropped reading the classified football scores in a snotty voice. shocking given sky and BT bascially ape this as its "traditional" to read the pools results out.
remember when barca "claimed" to now have sponsorship on their kits. all the fan ownership and all that stuff. I believe it was 2006 when of all things unicef was put on. Personally I view barca as a giant ego trip driven by fans electing president after president who promised more and more. much like politics has gone. The tory party leadership and Barcelona and of course the USA are all examples of the dangers of populist democracy
People moaning about it going.. didn’t know it was a thing. But these days people just go to bbc/sky sports app and check the results. No one is sitting there wondering what score is and waiting to hear it on the radio
Of course you are correct, but it's a thing just like match of the day music. How else are 75 year olds going to check their pools? You can't tell.me you have never heard Queen of the south 1, Cowdenbeath..........1 The dramatic pause waiting for the result of a Scottish division 2 game.
That's a very good shout regarding the sponsorship. A watershed moment? I don't know what the ownership/leadership was like 30 years ago, but the presidential thing over the past decade where they have to promise bigger and better has made them lose sight of what made them great. And I thought that sort of thing was typical of Real Madrid not Barca but seems both are as corrupt as each other.
I dunno, but i do think "keeping" Messi has broken them. they should have let him go years ago but kept shovelling cash down his tax avoiding throat.
