interesting isn’t it. Easy to pick in the wealthy in that case as a ‘look im doing something against this horrible group of people’ most of which don’t vote for me so make no odds… however maybe doing something against a group of people that are likely to vote for her? No chance, would be career suicide. as you say, not that footballers shouldn’t, but this kind of thing stretches way beyond just one group of people.
It's difficult for sure to strike the balance. Norwich =pointless. Zero progress seen at all every time they come up. Brentford. Interesting case. Let's see what happens next. Sheff utd. Like Brentford but officially a failure. Leeds another interesting case as they built up and built up in the championship bit its all gone tits up. Can they turn it round? Bournemouth. Long term survivors that basically we're too small to be a prem club but were driven on. Too many mistakes made gambling on young English talent. Palace. Interesting case. Used the old guys and the old stager manager, now using the big name ex player as manager and new players. Have not gone down in a long time but always one budget. Southampton. Another odd one. Seeling and profiting and reinvesting has kept them going but at this point they have become a bit of a mish mash of players and manager. Not much talent and really only a bad run from the drop like Bournemouth were. Villa. The toxic atmosphere club. The owner they had ruined them but they were never that good since deadly drug got out and the prem took over. The fans seem to expect to be a top tier club and trun on players and club. When they went down it was the best thing as the home games were absolutely horrid. They are now slightly on the up but a short hop for disaster. They'll turn on Gerrard soon. Finally Newcastle. The tight **** owner model with cashley finally selling up after getting them up. A dour side that depend on a few home games a season to stay up but are now a mega rich club. Overall for me the whole bottom half are capable of being yoyo clubs. What seems to now separate the rest from the top tier is big assed stadiums and resources. You either have a sugar daddy or a massive following that means home games are easier to win. As it ever was I suppose.
I think we probably feel the same way about this. One thing I will add is that it's the putting of people into groups in the first place that is wrong. All footballers aren't violent towards women anymore than all Muslims are violent towards women. Treat people as individuals and punish those responsible for poor behaviour or whatever without branding their perceived group as if they are all guilty.
I guess footballers, or at least the elite ones, are somewhat of a special case as from a young age they pumped with money that most of us (except @Garlic Klopp ) can only dream of and have thousands of fans singing their names, worshipping them on social media etc. Anything that helps them stay grounded is a positive in my opinion; it's almost a wonder that so many of them are as grounded as they are.

It's an interesting one. Everton 120 odd West ham 140 odd. 6th to nowhere. The investment required to be 6th in players and managers is massive. The return in just prize money is not. If you are not that bothered I suppose "survival" really is all that matters.

I assure you I do not earn the money young footballers do....the Mrs would go ape if I suffered such a pay cut!!
Barca still cannot register the following Roberto (renewal, but let expire) Dembele (renewel, but ket expire) Christensen (free) Kessie (free) Rapinha Lewandowski Kounde In other words they are about to sell the centre family jewels to pay fir this madness.
Horrendous defending. Just allow the guy 10 yards of space in the box to get a free header. was about 3 palace players just watching the ball onto zinchenko ahead
Thus far the main impressions I've got are: Ramsdale has kicked just about every medium and longer ball away. His ability to find a team.mate is honestly.... marginal to be kind. Arsenal have fallen into the same pattern of end to end with no control. Xhaka gets a yellow and vanishes. The alleged sex offender has been average. Odengaard is pretty much a waste of space. Palace look athletic by fairly ****. A lot of poor delivery. They certainly produced a great pass there to get through but it was a good save.
Gonna curse him, but that Saliba dude looks like a proper, old-fashioned tackler. Wonderful, underrated skill.
