And Phillips is no fernandinho

Haaland for aguero seems good but altered is unknown quantity so losing 25 odd goals.plus assists from sterling and Jesus on top seems not great to me.

But most of all if silva really goes then it ain't great.

Fernandinho = Phillips
Alvarez < Sterling

And wasn't replaced leading to them looking a bit short of ideas frankly.

League was won early on and they faltered but got thst job done but they flopped in Europe again

Now they are potentially losing silva.

For me it's more about squad than first team as their first team 12 is excellent still but silva going pokes a big hole in their midfield imo.

if zinchenko goes (rarely plays) they’ll sign Cucurella who is a far better LB.

 

1. Aguero left last summer and city ended up winning only one trophy. Its clear he was missed.

2. Ake played a little bit and it's a squad game. It leaves them a cb short. He's going to chavs

3. Silva to barca is all over the place.

4. Zinchenko is their reserve lb but is really a midfielder. No lb = cancelo playing lb and no rb cover. They do need to buy but have not done so yet and Brighton have resisted thus far. So if the guy goes they are again weaker in squad and do need to buy.

That's the point they need to buy, the squad is much weaker.

They've lost sterling and aguero, fernandinho and Jesus and now might lose 3 or 4 more so its all very odd and can only suggest a massive splurge coming.

silva isn’t going Barca. They want lewa. Haven’t seen silva to Barca being talked about at all. Given they trying to get rid of de Jong becasue they have young midfielders, can’t see them then buying another.

Your suggesting their squad is weaker if they lose another 3 players… but those 3 players haven’t left. And only 1 looks like leaving and being strongly linked to replace him with Cucurella.

that’s like saying our squad had got a lot weaker this season… if Alison vvd and Fabinho are sold.

 

Barca haven’t paid players properly, many are owed money and now, they are trying to flog them without paying up. If I was an established player on big money, I wouldn’t trust them to keep to my contract.

 

Horrible situation for those players already there, owed money but being shown the door. Do you sit there stubbornly because you want paying what you're owed and see a chunk of your shirt career pass you by or let them get away with being ****s?

I certainly wouldn't be joining them!
