Look at where Rhian Brewster’s career has gone compared to Phil Foden from the u17 World Cup winning team.

said at the time that particular team won mainly due to fitness and much better preparation and lacked flair apart from a few moments from Lookman *.
*iirc Sancho had been released by England as Dortmund wanted him for pre season training .

They are seriously on the bargain bucket amd talks about them being sold starting up.

If they lose calvert Lewis to injury of sale now and end up with Roydon they eill look like a right relegation candidate team.

Look at the players they have!

I would guess they will be allowed to spend some of the richarlison money though not all and Tarkowski will be coverted by those whose contracts have expired Tosun and Siggurdson spring to mind .

Afcon moved from June 2023 to January 2024 because of heavy rain that falls in Ivory Coast in that period.

Will clash with European club football again like it did this season.

    Yup.

They won't just admit that there's few African countries that a summer acon suits. Ie. South Africa.

They'd be better reinventing the tournament to be sort of like the nations league and played over international breaks so just stick to the one time.

At this point we are far more exposed to the extremely long south American world cup and copa qualifying. They have absolutely no desire to help European teams at all and push their luck with players constantly.

We only really have salah now. Keita is a squaddie. Acon no big deal for us.

If you’re trying to qualify for the World Cup etc why would I be trying to help European teams?

    Cos it engenders co operation.

If I know the ****s will schedule the second game as late as possible and I have to arrange special flights and my weekend game is disrupted I will absolutely use the players up the weeks before.

    They just don't see it.

Then again the stupid European gobshites forced in 3 a break last year to make money which was outrageous.

They've now done the whole nations league bullshit and given players no summer off.

That's the problem that their geography will always give them. Summer in the north is winter in the south, and the western monsoons affect it as well, so they'll never be able to settle on a set of dates suitable for all venues.
