appreciating and respecting effort is one thing. But overhyping players contributions and ability is another.
I don't abuse him however i sure don't see the level of performance from him often enough to justify your praise for him .
I still like naby but when the quality steps up and the pace goes up he can't do it. lovely dribbler and can strike a ball, really really good at reading the intercept and moving at the right to to steal the ball but he is a one paced player who can be blown out of the game just by huff and puff types. If we were playing cheslea or city he'd not be on my first 11. Talent is there but it needs space and time to show itself. the difference between thiago and keita is not simply tlaent. thaigo is a passer but actually keita i think reads the positions better. the issue is Thiago can and will mix it with the huff and puff types and win headers and tackles and run about and then do his stuff.
I can settle this. Naby has been a massive disappointment up until this season. He still has a lot to prove at Liverpool and in no way has he justified his 50m price tag so far. But there's a player there alright, just need to see a lot more of that player for me to be satisfied with nabys contribution thus far in a red shirt. Hes been a 4/10 signing for me so far
He’s not the swashbuckling signing we had all expected. He is just an efficient player - nothing spectacular - presses and reads the game very well, and solid in possession.
see thats more like it . He is a useful squad member but still really could do with upping his game to fully establish himself as a first choice . This season has been his best imo and hopefully the improvement continues into next and that may well be because his fitness seemed better this year .
no not really. eg semi final. think about what city team that was. basically a complete mish mash. Steffen in goal. ake at the back. silva as a deep lying midfielder with grealish as no 10. it was a shocker. think baout that FA cup final. kante half fit. kovacic half fit. it played alright but hardly standing out there. I don't even blame the lad for Trent being exposed as klopp went with keita clearly pushed on centrally as a tactic recently. Its just a fact that he plays at a certain pace that is well below the level of intensity a lot of sides bring. he can sustain that level for 90 but is often klopps first sub. It'd be nice if he could go like he should be able to and then come off but imo the injuries have levelled him off at a set level now.
Biscan always looked pissed, called on as a sub and he always struck me as looking like he'd been out Saturday night and was playing an early Sunday league came. If he'd rocked on with a roll up in his mouth I wouldn't have been surprised. Traore couldn't stand up, his legs looked to big for him, it was amusing just watching him. Flanno was just a bit ****, but again it was funny to talk about him like he was world class.
