West Ham vs City 15th of May. Penultimate game of the season, I believe they are going to give city a game.
Im not a massive fan of Jota tbh. Good player, gets lots of goals and works hard when he fancies it too but there is just something about him that I'm not keen on, can't put my finger on it
He’s a strange one. His link up is hit and miss so as a 9 he is limited. He has no blistering pace or skill to beat people out wide. But the guy delivers. Give him a chance in the box and he’s more likely to score than mane firmino and maybe even Salah! He’s brilliant in the air and scored goals with both feet! I think if he can work on his link up then centrally is def his best place. He’s always been a wide player though so prob taking bit of time to play our way.
Haven't looked at the stats, but he doesn't seem to be as complete a player as the big three. He gets goals but Id be surprised if he makes as many assists, passes, tackles, track backs etc. /That's not looking at stats so I could be wrong.
Doesn't link up as well as the others and not creative, but does know how to score. He's a better option than Origi and Minamino that's for sure.
I don't think any of us expected Jota to be as prolific as he has been. I was less optimistic when we signed him compared to Diaz.
He's more likely to score than Firmino in the same position, but doesn't do the other things Firmino does. I think one Jota in the XI isn't a bad idea. You can have one guy just worrying the central defenders and keeping them on edge and trying to score. You just can't have multiple people doing that at a time.
What Gerrard was really thinking though is... "Crap, I have to spend two more years managing Villa and by then the reputation and accolades I earned at Rangers will be completely forgotten and I'll never be manager of Liverpool now".
Bobby doesnt even do the things he used to do - his link up play isn't great anymore plus he's picking up a lot more niggles these days.
