as i said has to be after the leagues finish and the absolute disgrace of holding the World Cup in the middle ****ing east means next season starts earlier than normal . Anyway the Championship play off final is a much bigger game than FA cup these days .

i can rarely remember who won the FA Cup these days as PL and CL take priority at that time of year though possibly not helped by our pretty rubbish record in it of late .
Used to know will the mid 1990s. They killed it. I can remember the build up from 12 or whatever as a kid up to the final at 3 and teams in suits and it being "special" It's so far gone now but again. The fa have a lot to answer for that with late kick offs fans couldn't get home from and playing prem the same weekend etc. There should be a 10mil prize for it min and the TV hacks put more effort into round 3 than the finals.
Arsenal beat villa then who seem consistently inconsistent. Arsenals record over last 3 months been very good. What was it, 11 wins in 13 before met us with only dropped points v city and Burnley. Lost to us then beat villa. Tbink they’ll walk 4th place as they seem very together and able to consistently win games something spurs, United and West Ham just can’t do atm
All the advantages really. Lots of rest. Out of cups and Europe. Took full advantage of covid and are fresher. The fact that aubameyang is flying in Spain just shows what a **** he is and how getting shut has helped them improve squad
Yesh the lack of europe had definitely helped. The irony of arteta moaning about fixtures made me laugh though given played about 10 games less this season that all those around them. Don’t like him as a manager, just seems very slimy, not sure how else to describe it!
Perhaps, but would you remember who won the Championship play-offs if it weren't for the fact that it gets them into the PL? The FA Cup is a pale shadow of its former self, but the final still has a broader appeal than play-offs imo.
There were a few really good play off finals. Ding dong affairs bit it's got a bit boring imo. Too much money at play. The fa cup has been far too one side or them just a defensive game. They need us in the final for excitement
possibly not but with the FA Cup these days the broader appeal in UK is to some extent possibly due to it being on terrestrial TV as a listed event .
The FA Cup final is only interesting now if it doesn't involve 2 big teams imo. Could do with a couple of upsets this weekend.
