Oh yeah, it's almost tradition that they sack managers after we spank them.

Klopp record as a manager breaker is massive.

If we beat them by 4 goals he will be sacked.

Newcastle defence is shocking. I am sure that is the first place the new manager will spend.

Not so sure. They'll be fighting relegation so they will be looking for goals.

Defences win titles but strikers keep you away from relegation.

    Oh I dunno
They need 11 players. If they only have 50mil to send they are ****ed.

They need someone who will make some players believe and others **** off.

The keeper situation for example is silly.

Can have owners worth 700bn. Doesn’t make Matt Richie a useful footballer and Bruce into Ferguson.

Newcastle still one of favs to get relegated unless ASM and Wilson can somehow score 3’or 4 goals a game

Exactly. And that's why I said they'd target goalscorers in January

Not sure. When you already have them two you should be good for scoring some goals (injury permitting). Tricky one though, depends who they bring in for Bruce. Might want to get someone like Rafa, who will make them more solid defensively and hope that ASm and Wilson can get them a few goals to win the games.

Or if get someone to go all out attack in hope of just outscoring their defence

    It's this simple.

Newcastle owners should have their "coach" and direct of football lined up.

If they dont or they are not available till summer then they are ****ing morons. Billions and cannot get the people.needed in?

They need to shrug at the ffp rule and put every penny on the line. 4 to 6 players in january.

CB, two full backs. A cm and a striker.

I think almiron and saint maximin might do till the summer around a real striker but they have to improve that midfield.

Look at the trash around their midfield. Shelvey comes on. Hendrick. All total championship.

If they get a fine breaking ffp in the prem who the **** cares but end up scrambling in march and they deserve relegation.

    The prem is like this

4 very good clubs at the top if you include man utd.

6 pretty decent clubs below that with spurs, villa west ham, everton, spurs, leicester.

That is actually the most competitive this league has been imo. Now they are ot top drawer sides but they are all well organised and dangerous.

The bottom half then has brighton and palace who are ambitious so that leaves sides like wolves and leeds as guys who are looking decent but struggling to keep pace

    Then the bottom 6.

Newcastle, Southampton, burnely as perennial struggles plus the promoted sides two of which are no trouble to anyone but brentford are scaring the pants off the 3 strugglers.

It's not that someone like villa are all that good really, but they are just a more expensive burnely. Strong, fit, fast players all pulling together.

Newcastle need to get ****ing real and go do deals now and have 4 to 6 players day 1 of that window.

They also need to be real about who they can actually get.

No chance of any player that might be anywhere near European football. Forget any chance of ever signing players like Haalands (like was in the papers this morning).

Actually think they'll struggle to attract many this Winter, who wants to move to be involved in a relegation fight. But without new/better players then Newcastle will be relegated so then they'll have to start with lower ambitions on players.

Why I say they need to sign bets players of the teams from 10th down.

Try get Burnley and Norwich best players. Try get JWP and Zaha etc

But equally if they had the actual scouts and actual manager they could gonout and attract the about 50 or 60 players round europe who would fall over themselves to get 150k a week.

The haaland stuff is absolutely ridiculous but there are loads on 34/24/25 year olds ready to go in leagues where the cash just has to be handed over.

I agree on picking pockets too. There are several players approaching out of contract status like tarkowski who would improve them.

A very quick list might look like

Per schurrs still at ajax. Decent young player.

    Botman still available i think?

The young lad at salzburg is available.

Mendes at Lisbon for lb as well.

Yes go trying for zaha or someone like it.

    Even buy coutinho for 10mil

Big problem for Newcastle is that the season is already underway. If the owners came in at the start of the summer and could strengthen early, whereas now they may have money, but players must see it as a big risk of joining them in January

they’ll just add relegation clauses - for a player, it’s really not a problem. The bigger problem is that you don’t have the structure in place - MD, DoF, top coach, recruitment etc etc amd players know that it’s a five year journey. So the reality is that they will buy players who want money, not trophies….initially anyway.

The additional problem they now have is that they’ve become to many other teams a trophy in themselves. Playing Newcastle has become to many teams a big occasion and beating Newcastle with its multi billionaire owners something of an achievement. Who also wants to be the first team beaten by the oil rich Saudis team? Isn’t it a great morale booster to show that despite having a modest budget you can overturn a club owned by the richest oil state in the world?

unless they quickly sack Bruce, Newcastle will lose the feel good factor they’ve just acquired and get relegated. a new manager will immediately provide the usual boost and they need to start scouting for new players, particularly available loanees from big clubs. Keeping Bruce is not doing him a favour. He is still being criticised and ridiculed. Put him out of his misery and give him his severance fee.

and appoint who? Who will turn up for a relegation battle? Probably a short list tbh.

the other problem the will soon find out about is the elite club premium for players plus those players agents playing hardball for big salaries.

Is this world-class Pogba any relation to the one who plays for Man U? They should have bought him instead.
I see the Utd Pogba opining that they don't have the "right mentality to be winners". Nice of him to notice finally.
Instead of looking at his new hair-do in the mirror, he ought to take a long hard look at the man underneath.

the arrogance of it. He strolls around the park letting others do the donkey work and comes out with this…..if I were his team mate I’d be fuming at him <laugh>
