I'm fairly sure this happened last year with Manchester United, they played a few of the lesser teams did well and suddenly the press where furiously pulling the head off it over them. They played someone decent and the bubble quickly burst.
United still have big issues, Ronaldo has made the media gloss over that but if you watched their game today it was obvious. I'm sure he'll raise their level and make important individual contributions but they're carrying a lot of dead weight.

You're stacked up front, you lack heft in midfield and you're vulnerable at the back, that's what today's evidence provided even if the scoreline doesn't represent that. Newcastle are Newcastle, so they didn't take advantage of the opportunities they got when getting around and in between you and slotting it through, a better team could and will do that. Up front you played some nice, technical stuff which you will score a lot of goals from ... if they all stay interested enough as your new number 7. But you'll ship goals as well.
