Just watched the highlights for Barca, all very good goals ect, but what confused me was umtiti sending off, the second yellow, he runs into position doesn't make a cgallange, the balls knocked past him and the striker runs into him. He makes no movement toward the striker so why is it a foul never mind a yellow
Commentator says "He could argue he couldn't get out of the way but he could have made a better attempt". Why should he? The rules don't say you have to move out the way ffs
As a defender this really pisses me off. You're standing up against a forward who knocks the ball pass you then runs into you and falls over. Half the time refs give a foul to you then half the time refs give a foul against. As you say, you don't have to get out the way. As long as you don't deliberately obstruct then you can stand your ground.
